Jennifer Hudson Lines Up New Single

Published: Friday 20th May 2011 by Sam

After somewhat mis-shooting with her last single ‘Where You At’, Jennifer Hudson will, no doubt, be hoping for better success with its follow-up.

As fans of the Grammy winner will know, there has been some confusion as to what Hudson will release next from her sophomore set, ‘I Remember Me’. However, it appears the singer’s team have settled on what should serve as the project’s second offering.

Find out what it’ll be after the jump…

According to All Allcess, the Rich Harrison produced ‘No One Gonna Love You’ is the latest to be lifted from the LP and officially goes for adds on Urban radio next week.

Great choice. One which Hudson needs to catch on, if she’s to build on ‘I Remember Me’s current sales total of 320,000. The set was released back in March and was backed by an all-out promotional campaign.

For those who’ve yet to hear the track, take a listen below…

I love this song, it’s probably my favourite. It’s got a catchy melody and the piano blends well. A solid effort… Hope it helps her coz she needs it!

Great choice, and her sales aren’t that bad for just one single, “Where You At” did good, but she she release this song, “I Got This”, “Gone” >>> Multi format single, that can be a potential multi format hit, and “I Remember Me” last.

    @S***,

    Bye!

  14. BENJAMIN May 20, 2011

I was hoping for “I Got This,” which to me is the standout song on the album, but I guess this one is ok.

320k after 2mos??? FLOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Try again Jenn. Her American Idol 15 minutes has left the building without Elvis.

  16. antonio May 21, 2011

how in the world is 320K after 2 months with just one single, that was really only a hit in Urban markets a flop? No One Gonna Love You is gonna push this album pass the 450K mark and then I Got This, Gone, I Remember Me and possibly Still Here would push it to Platinum status. A flop album would be Keri Hilson’s. She just released her 5th single off No Boys Allowed and that album is only sitting at 320K as well.

Great 2nd single choice! This is one of my favorite tracks from the album. Also great to hear that Rich Harrison switched up his sound.

Great choice for her next single

I like the song. Jennifer should’ve released this instead of where you at. @ Antonio I dont think the album is going to do platinum. It might hit gold but I dont see that happening until the end of summer.

    I LOOOOOOVE this song!
Ain’t no one’s gonna love you, like I’m gonna love you! Somebody better tell you!

IVE BEEN THE BIGGEST J. HUD FAN SINCE IDOL, AND I’M GLAD THAT THEY ARE FINALLY SCRAPPING A SENCOND SINGLE OFF OF THIS ALBUM, ALTHOUGH I’M LESS THAN PLEASED THAT IT TOOK SO LONG TO RELEASE A NEW SINGLE, ESP WHEN “WHERE U AT” DIDNT CHART WELL AND NEITHER WILL “NO ONE……” ITS A CUTE SONG WITH NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT IT AND IVE WATCHED A PERFORMANCE ON YOUTUBE AND ITS SOO DULL. ITS NOT A CATCHY SUMMER TUNE NOR IS IT A PERFORMANCE SONG….MEANING? ANOTHER SINGLE THAT WONT CHART WELL. I NEED HER TEAM TO GET IT TOGETHER.

  23. SONGBOOK May 21, 2011

….IF SHE WANTED A HIT, SHE SHOULD ONCE AGAIN GO WITH NEYO…EVERYTHING ABOUT THAT SONG IS A RNB HIT. I’M SURE SHE WOULD SING THE HELL OUT OF LIVE, ITS GROOVY AND CATCH MELODY IS THE TRUTH. PAID THAT UP WITH A BEAT, FRESH VIDEO AND WE’VE GOT A HIT. I GOT THIS, ANGEL, AND GONE WOULD ALSO BE SOLID SINGLES. i TRY TO KEEP IN MIND THAT IT TOOK JAY Z THREE ALBUMS TO GET RIHANNA “ON TRACK”. THE WAY THERE HAVE B.S’D WITH A SECOND SINGLE, THIS ALBUM IS QUICKLY LOOSING STEAM, SO HOPEFULLY A THIRD RELEASE WILL BE MORE THAN JUST A “PRETTY GOOD CD” SHM. DISAPPOINTED IN CLIVE LOL

  24. SipDatBoyz May 21, 2011

Ugh she shoulda did Angel…or I Remember Me

  25. M Free May 21, 2011
