According to fresh reports, Whitney Houston has checked herself into a rehabilitation clinic.

Whitney Houston has checked herself in to an out-patient rehabilitation program … but it’s not for drugs or alcohol … TMZ has learned.
A source directly connected with Whitney tells us … Houston enrolled in the program around 10 days ago. The program allows Houston to go out in public … as long as she has a monitor.
Just last weekend, Houston was enjoying herself at a Prince concert in L.A. … with her daughter right by her side.
Our source is not saying why Houston is seeking treatment … but insists it’s not drug or alcohol related.
We’re told, “She’s cleansing herself to get ready for a new movie.”
You already know media outlets are cooking up ways to spin this. In any case, for Whitney’s sake, let’s hope this is indeed “cleansing for a movie role”.

The singer’ rep has confirmed her voluntary treatment is in fact for drugs and alcohol related issues and functions as part of her long-standing recovery.

What are they implying that she is pulling a Charlie Sheen and “rehabing at the house”? That she is really on drugs? Could it be a case similar to Mrs. Michael Douglas, ol’ crazy Cathren Zeta Jones? Perhaps she just needs to learn how to relax on stage again and just enjoy the experience. Has anyone ever thought of that?? The last few times I’ve seen Whitney she appeared to be very tense. Maybe she just needs help getting her confidence back!

Its actually like a fat farm. She’s going in to help lose the weight that she gained. Its like a biggest loser type of deal, where she will be monitored and fed. And she will have a constant trainer. So it is for the movie and has nothing to do with drugs
Whitney is about to star in several films and record a to 3 albums within the next 3 years; it is only right that she keep herself healthy and nurtured. The fact that she has surrounded herself with the right people, tells me she is on the right track.
I believe this rehabilitation is a stint to keep herself clean, AND/OR get her voice in shape for her role in GTH, and also to get her vocals ready for its soundtrack and the performances to come.

Whether or not it actually is preventative, I’m just glad she’s gettin help. Being 20 or 30 something and having messy habits is one thing but past 40 it’s just sad.

It’s a dam shame how Bobby turned her ass out on drugs & alchohol……It’s strange because from seeing Bobby in recent pics it looks like he’s getting his self together while Nippy is still sucking that Brown Rolled Up Laced D*** & drinking the Devil p***! I knew it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Her moving to caii last month was for drug rehab. I was right. Her last rehab stint was for drugs & alcohol back in 06′-’07 in Leguna Beach, California as well. Hope she gets through this. No wonder her vocals was hoarse and raspy at the Prince concert. Several peeps said she was wasted and she certainly looked it. SMH, shame.

True she said she had experimented with drugs in the past (no specific name of drug)…but still the whole point is that Bobby did turn her out on Drugs. If this was back in the day & she had the same habit today back then she wouldn’t even be famous…..so don’t go blaming her past for what it is today. I am so glad! I love Whitney always have and always will. I am not a dumb fan & in denial. I know that the recovery process can be difficult. I am praying for her. One thing for sure there will NEVER be another singer like her. Someone who influenced many of today’s stars and who set the bar! Yea she may not sing like she use to, but no one will ever be on the level that she was. Songs with depth and meaning, excellent lyric phrasing & stay in the hearts of the people. Not this popcorn s*** they make today! We will always love you Whitney 😉
