Britney Spears’ Entertainment Tonight Interview (Part 2)

Published: Friday 10th Jun 2011 by Sam

As reported, Britney Spears sat down with Entertainment Tonight this week for what was billed as a ‘revealing’ interview. The supposedly insightful chat serves as one of the few promotional spots for the 29 year old’s ‘Femme Fatale Tour’ – which kicks off in a week’s time.

You’ve seen part one, now you can check out the concluding segment of feature below…

More PR, pre-screened spiel. It really is high-time someone, somewhere rang the alarm on this charade. Because, from the vacant look on her face, to the rubbish questions, to the director keeping a straight face while talking about showcasing Britney  as a performer, the whole episode is just sad and little surreal. Sigh…

This is so sad …….IS SHE SICK ??/ SMDH

  2. AndySaysSmile June 10, 2011

Seriously Sam, what is your problem? You seem to be so determined to put her down. Have you got issues or something? Clearly Britney is enjoying herself, she’s had a lot of creative input into the show and seems to be enjoying herself! Just because she’s not smiling like a f****** joker or dancing as hard as she can IN REHEARSALS! Build a bridge and get over it.

  3. queenbey June 10, 2011

DOES SHE KNOW WHERE SHE IS THIS TIME? lmaooooooooo…..and she looks old as well.

  4. Dunk June 10, 2011

this tour is gonna be amazing, not only is Femme Fetalle one of her best albums but she is healthy happy and in a really good place, shes slowly getting used to be being back out there agin and after a week of being on stage and 2 months of rehearsal she will kick ass! I saw some footage of the circus tour in Paris, and she was killing it! Amazing that she can do all this and still raise 2 children, amazing women!

  5. BAHAMAIN GAL June 10, 2011

    Yay!! Britney

  6. LTM June 10, 2011

why would anyone pay to see her lip sync and walk around on stage? her fans have been loyal and supportive to her for 13 years and this lazy b**** can’t even bust a move for them? I expect her not to sing full tracks because its almost impossible to dance and sing at the same time, but since she doesn’t dance anymore there’s no excuse.

but I can’t blame her. she half asses everything because she can. why work hard when you don’t have to if you get the same results? Brit can release a song with nothing but her farting and her dumb fans would buy it and pay to see her lip syncs and walk around to it. if they let her tour flop then maybe her and her team will wake up and actually try

are you haters mad because Beyonce flopped hard and Gaga’s new album drops 85% on sales?
    So STFU! 😀

Burning Up (Madonna cover version) by Britney is so HOTTTTT!
That’s how she rolls to bring 80’s back into 2011.
GayGa you are the most foolish music act.

  8. Haiku June 10, 2011

This is VERY sad. What is wrong with her?
She needs her family and a LOOONG holiday.

    Get well soon. seriously.

  9. LTM June 10, 2011

well, maybe Brits fans aren’t that dumb. Femme Fatale isnt doing so hot in sells, so there’s a chance her tour will underperform as well

  10. The Perrylicious is taking over… June 10, 2011

over than 1.5M in just 2.5 months..u call it a flop?
    STFU!

TOP10 SINGLES ARTIST WORLDWIDE 2011 (So Far):

    #10
    DAVID GUETTA (approximately 5,100,000 points)

The most popular DJ in the world continues his series of hit singles from various projects featuring the likes of Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, Flo Rida, and Rihanna. Known for his synth-heavy eurodance sound, he continues to be one of the most sought after producers in the industry. Last year’s “Who’s That Chick” and his recent release, “Where Them Girls At” have both managed to reach top 10 in most markets. “Sweat” featuring Snoop Dogg has since gone Top 5 in 8 different countries’ official charts since it’s release. Despite all his overwhelming success and influence, he claims his “dance floor take-over has only just begun.”

    #9
    P!NK (approximately 6,400,000 points)

Coming off the massively successful Funhouse era, P!nk managed to maintain the momentum as her Greatest Hits project faired significantly better than recent popstar’s compilations. “Raise Your Glass” became a #1 hit on the Hot 100 and the follow-up, “Perfect”, an inspirational mid-tempo, went top ten in most markets. The topper is she did it all while she was pregnant with her recently birthed baby girl, Willow. P!nk continues to set a new standard of what dedication and balance can accomplish in this industry.

    #8
BRITNEY SPEARS ( approximately 6,700,000 points)

Britney Spears returned earlier this year with yet another set of dance floor anthems sure to keep us moving till the world ends, or at least for the next year or so. Britney gets dirty on Femme Fatale experimenting with the ever-trendy dubstep themes. Perhaps the shining moment though comes in the bubble pop ecstasy that is “I Wanna Go”, a Dr. Luke production that features one of Britney’s career catchiest choruses. Femme Fatale was released ealier this year and debuted at #1 in the US. It has spawned single success in the Hot 100 #1, “Hold It Against Me” and “Till The World Ends”. Britney also featured on a “Rihmix” of fellow pop star, Rihanna’s “S&M” single in which the sexualized performance at the Billboard Music Awards sparked outrage from the Parents Television Council – Brit’s still got it!

    #7
    ADELE (approximately 7,000,000 points)

The only thing Adele will be rolling in these days is the dough. 2011’s breakout phenomenon comes in the form of a British talent who relies on old-school motown as much as she does on a modern top 40 hook. Her sophomore album, 21, was released everywhere by late February and has already sold 6.5 million, in the process breaking countless records on various charts. Let us not forget her debut album, 19, currently sitting comfortably just outside the top 10 this week. Adele has had single success in the form of “Rolling In The Deep” (a #1 in over a dozen countries) and the #1 UK tear-jerker “Someone Like You”. Despite the success of the later it appears the next single for US radio will be “Set Fire To The Rain”, a sweeping mid-tempo with enough conviction to send chills down your spine.

    #6
THE BLACK EYED PEAS (approximately 7,200,000 points)

The Black Eyed Peas are no stranger to the charts and while The Beginning has not yet matched up to 2009’s blockbuster The E.N.D., the success of the spawned singles, album, and recent tour only shows that if you establish an audience and continuously produce reliable product, support will always come around. Black Eyed Peas have had chart success this year in “Dirty Bit” and “Just Can’t Get Enough”. They look to follow-up those with the dance floor jam, “Don’t Stop The Party”.

    #5
    LADY GAGA (approximately 7,900,000 points)

Having only released her first single to chart this year mid-February, Lady Gaga is wasting no time shooting up the singles chart. Not that anybody should be surprised considering her pop domination over the last few years. Nevermind that she just opened with over 1 million copies in the US and has had a major company such as Amazon willing to invest millions of dollars into a 99 cent sale to promote their own new services. That is power unheard of today! The first three singles from the critically acclaimed album – “Born This Way”, “Judas”, and “The Edge of Glory” are all still continuing to smash the world singles chart so look for her point total to rise significantly over the following months. “Hair” also made an entry into the charts earlier this year under a iTunes Countdown release.

    #4
    PITBULL (approximately 9,900,000 points)

You want a hit? Pitbull will give you a hit. Look no further than the worldwide mega-smash, “On the Floor”, to see what a properly executed feature over a pipping hot beat can do for a pop star’s career. All that on the back of resurrecting another pop star in a similar situation last year with “I Like It”; coincidentally also produced by RedOne. There’s no denying that adding Pitbull’s latin flavored rhymes over a track makes people pay attention, however his success is far from limited to features. “Give Me Everything” is setting the world on fire as it currently sits at #1 on our chart this week. He also had other smashes charting earlier this year under “Hey Baby” and “DJ Got Us Falling In Love Again” with Usher.

    #3
    KATY PERRY (approximately 10,300,000 points)

California Gurl no longer, Katy has exploded into a worldwide superstar over the last year. The self-empowerment anthem, “Firework” set the year off right as it continued it’s monumental success from last year. She then followed that up with some alien s** in the Kanye featured “E.T.” becoming yet another staple of 2011. With four #1’s off her Grammy nominated Teenage Dream, she already has her eyes on her next with her upcoming “Last Friday Night”, which was sent to radio this week. As if her recent string of hits wasn’t enough in ensuring it’s rise to the top, Katy has taken to a unique form of viral promotion for the single, which has her posting videos as a geeked-out alter ego, Kathy — a 13-year-old girl whose interests include Beanie Babies and Hanson. She even got Rebecca Black of “Friday” fame to appear – look at the YouTube views go!

    #2
    BRUNO MARS (approximately 11,800,000 points)

When we spoke to Bruno last month he told us the key to writing a great song is “experience”. Believability of “The Lazy Song? None, as no male artist has come close to the work he has put into making his singles such blockbusters over the last year. Hit after hit from his 2010 album Doo-Wop & Hooligans – all self-penned. Fall 2010 super-smash, “Just The Way You Are” is still charting on the US Hot 100. Winter’s follow-up blockbuster “Grenade” currently holds the most points on our world chart for the year with no sign of falling soon (#22 this week). Meanwhile, the formerly mentioned “Lazy Song” is sitting at #6. With an upcoming collaboration with Jay-Z, Beyonce, Kanye West and another with Eminem, it looks as though everyone wants in on his gift. Will he challenge our next artist for the year-end title? It’s going to be close!

    #1
    RIHANNA (approximately 13,900,000 points)

2010 saw the Barbadian beauty dye her hair bright red and return to form with her fifth studio album entitled, Loud. Now in 2011 she seems set to follow suit, leading the singles chart this year with nearly 14 million points. Early this year, Hot 100 #1 singles, “What’s My Name” and “Only Girl”, continued their extended successes throughout the world. Following, the controversial single “S&M” became her fifth #1 in just a year’s span in the United States and tenth overall. David Guetta’s “Who’s That Chick”, on which she was featured, was a solid top 10 hit in most international markets aswell. Her current single is the laid-back summery ballad, “California King Bed”, which was just released to international radios last week and already has risen to #19 on the weekly single’s chart this week.

This is hardly the first time Rihanna has maintained a chart dominance over an extensive period of time. Some might’ve said that Good Girl Gone Bad, which assaulted the charts with it’s hits from 2007 to 2008, would be impossible to top. It looks as though they may have been wrong. Not only have the first three singles from Loud performed better than the 2007 release’s, the album has managed to nearly double the pace in sales. At nearly 4.5 million albums sold in approximately 30 weeks, Loud has notably outpaced recent mega-smashes from her peers including Beyonce’s I Am Sasha Fierce and P!nk’s Funhouse. Need not mention the recently launched “Loud World Tour” which has been met with rave reviews and will be coming to nearly 100 cities over the next year, including a record-breaking 10 London O2 Dates.

  12. LTM June 10, 2011

out of the billboard top 20 in less than 15 weeks and droping off global charts quickly, yes sweetheart it’s a flop. you can’t call an successful if it only sells for 3months.

have a seat bandwagon fake stan

  13. LTM June 10, 2011

    *an album successful

  14. Adam June 10, 2011

Did you even watch it? She is showing more personality than she has in years and seems genuinely happy. She did the whole choreography from s****, and even got on the floor, something she never used to do live. So she’s not going 100%, it’s a rehearsal not a performance.

Sam all this site does is hate and its not entertaining. Your comments are always extremely ignorant. But as long as putting others down while they are fighting their way back up makes you feel better about your life and your faves, I guess that makes all the shade and negativity ok. Smh at what this site has turned into.

  15. chrisj June 10, 2011

    poor britney

  16. Slaydele June 10, 2011

I agree with LTM. Brit needs to put in effort

  17. lost1wons June 10, 2011

this was actually a good interview, one of the better ones from this era of hers. Unlike her other ones, and the horrid billboard awards, she came across as present, and mentally there, and was not robotic. This could of been a practiced interview, like she knew and approved certain questions before hand, but she is still connecting with the interviewee.

  18. Dollar$ign$kill$ June 10, 2011

I’ve lost respect for Britney after her Billboard Awards performance. She needs help

  19. The Perrylicious is taking over… June 10, 2011

    owhh..come on?
Do you expect she going to sell her album like what she did in her ‘prime-time’.
    Get a life.

    @LTM
You are fake stan and have a seat.
The FLOP belongs to Beyonce this era coz her 2-singles flopped hard on charts. Are we gonna talk about the sales? lol

  20. Claudie June 10, 2011

I would go to britney’s concert rather than Gaga’s ‘illuminati+stripper shows’ on Monster Balls.
    😛

  21. Jackson June 10, 2011

    @LTM
You can call her flop now because the sales of femme fatale is average.
but, the album will sell well due to amazing songs and singles.
I really don’t think this album is a fail. Over than 1M with little promo..are you comparing her to Gaga? Come on, you see how Gaga can pull 24/7 promos, while Britney cant. She has her own live with the family.
Now tell me how much Katy Perry sells out there? 🙂

  22. MAHOGANY June 10, 2011

Britney: I’m a dancer so you have to keep it fresh.

WTF??????????????? Last I checked she lip syncs and acts a robotic corpse on stage propped up by her daddy and Mr. Conservatorship. Cant believe these stupid ass stans gonna see this s*** and pay $500-$700/ticket. Idiots… who should be in 5150 like their mentor and idol.

  23. JUDAS666 June 10, 2011

    test

  24. Diane June 10, 2011

@QUEENBEY, No, she is not sick. The cigarettes are taking affect. Britney is a bonafide chain-smoker.

  25. nice_gurl June 10, 2011

I don’t like all the hate guys. I’ve never been a fan and still aren’t, but you don’t have to compare her with other artists or say mean things about her. I think she should have just relaxed at home with her kids instead of going on tour. She can’t keep up with what is happening and she looks drained. She’s a nice person though and I wish her well. She’s come a long way since 2008.

  26. Imgunnacheckuboo June 10, 2011

    Brit looks so old. smh

    LOL
Now she is going to push back her album.
It’s a Sad sad Sad story for BEYONIC and her fans this era.
…and they are coming for Britney,…lol
Britney had 2 #1 songs on Hot 100 this year (HIAM & S&M) while TTWE peaked at #3 and still in Top 10.

    Are you MAD+PRESSED?

  34. Giovanni Dayevid June 10, 2011

AWE! I love Britney. I just wanna hug her! ^_^

  35. ON88 June 10, 2011

Im so sick and tired of everyone bashing this girl. Im not a fan but people need hobbies. Seriously people… “leave britney alone!”

  36. EXTREME HATE IS A DISEASE,GET IT CURED akaISTANN4GAGA June 10, 2011

LTM won the argument,Britney seems to be getting really LAZY these past years. You all she is giving her all in these rehearsals but come the ACTUAL performance the execution of her choreography comes out SLOPPY so before Kyle runs to this post with CAPS LOCK abuse calling me names like “HATER” and “COKEWHORE STAN” he needs to recognize that britney is having some type of problem and Stan Behavior can actually do more HARM than good.

BTW both of y’all did NOT have to come for each other’s loyalty towards Katy Perry.

  37. EXTREME HATE IS A DISEASE,GET IT CURED akaISTANN4GAGA June 10, 2011

edit: put SAY after you all.

  38. LTM June 10, 2011

    @Perrylicious
Sweetheart please stop. You are a false Katycat, who’s only here cause Katy is slaying. I’ve been a fan since I Kissed A Girl.

I never said I expected the same numbers as she pulled in her prime. I compare albums to the previous album, and Femme Fatal will only sell a third of what Circus did. Circus outperformed Femme Fatal in many ways

    @Jackson
teenage dream has sold over double of Femme Fatal

  39. hd live June 10, 2011

every day I love her more and if you don’t like her just go away

    only 7 days
