Did everyone miss the point that the product is called Rimmel London and their slogan is “Get The London Look”. Whilst I love Solange (she looks stunning BTW) the PR team at Rimmel should have done their research and got an actual black “London” female to front this campaign. But like many P.R companies in London, they tend to hire middle class wannabee “IT” girls who think they know about popular culture, when really their knowledge does not extend past the obcious celebrities (who have been on the circuit for years, Madonna, Kylie etc)
I think Shingai from Noisettes, Jourdan Dunn or VV Brown would have been perfect. Clearly Rimmel are like many London based companies who forget that we actual live in a multicultural city. Damn, if it was so hard for them to think outside the box, they could have got Kate Moss (she was the face of Rimmel) BF, Naomi “stamp a bitch out” Campbell if they really wanted to go for obvious, but wanted to add a bit of chocolate (oopps, sorry Naomi didnt mean to offend)
