Last night, former Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton proved once again that she is not just a pretty face. The starlet is a cast member on the hit ITV show ‘Pop Star To Opera Star’ . The show sees Pop musicians train in the genre of Opera, competing against each other week by week in the hope to be crowned the winner at the end of the series.

Melody sounded pretty good this time around. I think she has a lot of guts, but I really wish she would stay in her lane and let her voice mature some. I’m glad she paced herself here, she didn’t reach for notes that she couldn’t hit, which was smart! I just think that she should get more into the feeling and mood of what she’s singing. That way she wouldn’t come across so much as overly eager. This was still 10x better than her usual shout fest.

It was a nice performance, I like the judges they were really informational. I heard her phasing was a little off and the judges spoke of it. Again she did good for her first performance.

She did a great job. I think the training will be good for her. Nicole had it but Melody has soul and that natural power (Yes Aryo, Nicole has a bit of it) so this should only help her control in pop performances.

HORRIBLE
First of all, her voice is very unsupported, sounds hollow and not in tune
She can’t finish a phrase because she runs out of breathe
She can’t sustain a note because the pitch wobbles
A mess
She was awful as a pop singer, she is even worst as an attempt of operatic singing
The only pop singers ever who could aspire to have had an operatic career are:
Whitney in her prime
Lara Fabian
Monica Naranjo
Barbra Streisand
The end.
The rest can’t even support a simple vocal line throughout 2 full measures without drops of volume or hollowness (this comes from an opera singer)

I never really knew how pretty she was… Nicole always got the spot light… i didnt listen to the opera song but i do kno that shs on a few rappers songs singing the hook and the girl aint half bad… I give credit where credit is due aint nuttin wrong wit a chick being vers in the industry transform if you feel necessary… Dont put yourself in a box… KUTGW…
