Hollywood actor and R&B vocalist, Tyrese is prepping his new album Open Invitation. The first song to surface from the upcoming set is ‘I Gotta Chick’, a mid-tempo cut, which features R&B King, R. Kelly, and Young Money rapper Tyga.

Is it just us, or does this melody sound eerily similar to Johnta Austin’s ill-fated first single ‘Turn It Up’? Either way, ‘I Gotta Chick’ is a nice album cut, and a possible, moderate urban radio hit.
Tyrese’s fifth studio album, Open Invitation, is due out November 1. A few months back, the singer tweeted about a duet with Brandy that will be “the wedding song for the next five years”. We are looking forward to that one.

I say it is a nice song. I beleive it more for the older generation. It more softely. I know the younger people when ever someone does something difference you don’t understand. try something difference just listen to the song. It nice. I know that they can’t alway please everyone. But Tyrese can sing. and I know you do know this. He can act aswell sing. so he has both world. Now the one’s that don’t like his song. I want to know can you sing.

Oh, Sam/TGJ Staff, I think, going from the ads/commercials for the coming latest “Transformers” movie, he’ll get serious screen-face time. I like Tyrese! I loved his debut CD this is okay his voice still sounds great! I know he is from Watts but he could sing this minus the profanity and it would work better! It’s not a bad song though!! Love the music!

This type of song would have done good as a single in the 90’s or early 2000’s. His voice is good and Tyrese has a good song.

I’ve been fiending for new Tyrese music.. I’m feeling this-didn’t need Tyga (or R. Kelly in whatever capacity) though but still YES!!!! Will definitely be copping this new album. Real R&B is making a comeback this year. Thank XENU!!!
