Kelly OWNED the BET Awards!!!! That was her NIGHT!!!!!

Kelly was good. If she didn’t prerecord her vocal it would’ve been amazing. You can so tell towards the end that it was prerecorded as she said something over the speakers and her mic was down by her hips -_-

Just shut up and give honor where it’s due.

Kelly definitely did kill it, but I was upset when I rewatched it and seen her say sing it yall and her mic was by her side, but other than lip synching she did really good. Of course my girl Beyonce shut it down, she gave me life when she performed End of Time!

  5. Music June 29, 2011

I liked Beyonce’s (Glastonbury performance), Alicia Key’s, Ledisi, Patti’s, Anita Baker, and the BAND that backed most of the performers. For some reason I just don’t appreciate artist who have to use a track to perform their music, nothing beats the sound of live instruments. I also like the tributes they were doing to the deceased artist, great concept. Alot of people slept on Alicia Key’s performance, but I think she was one of the few musically talented people to hit the BET stage. When she hit the Piano break after her new song that deserves alot of respect, but it got over looked easily. I hate that true artistry gets over looked today, like people aren’t impressed by musicians playing instruments or singers who can run scales all day and use their voice as instruments. That’s really all I was impressed by at the show though.

b****, please – he is a complete queen aka bottom b****

but, so what? who cares what he’s doing with his d***?

      • Kalendre June 29, 2011

It’s a bit stoopee to call him those names and say “who cares?” afterwards… if you don’t care you don’t write those stupid words on the first place…

i dont have anything against kelly rowland.. but her performance wasn’t anything spectacular and thatgrapejuice is the only site thats claiming it to be a CAREER BREAKING MOMENT for her, and talking as if it was anything crazy..

Chris Browns’ performance was much better.. but that was expected.. But yeah..

@PATRICK ,”I DON’T EVEN NEED TO HEAR WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY…” ??? I believe that Kelly’s performance was THE BEST of the night and overall an amazing performance, but that phrase is A NO-NO. Do you remember that this is a blog??So, if anything, you NEED to hear what we have to say, because this is what a blog is about.
I’m glad he tried to make his voice louder. It was better than last time, btw

I cant wait to hear Ashanti’s new record, I am pretty sure it is going to be great, but then again how many people are going to support her we will have to wait and see, I’m rooting for her tho 🙂

  11. Lebo(CaribbeanBoi) June 29, 2011

    Kelly was amazing … I’m Done !!!!

  12. jmoore June 29, 2011

It was an OK show. BET needs to hire some new production people because they couldnt even get the censors right. Kelly and Chris Brown where the best part of the show. I also liked the Real Husbands skit.

  13. BeeStan June 29, 2011

Why is every1 mentioning his sexuality for? yeah he’s obviously gay, SO WHATTTT? He Seems to have a great personality for this type of thing. good job!!!!

  14. SDOT June 29, 2011

Patrick…you are amazingly talented. Nevermind what the haters say…ignore em til they fade away!!!!

  15. MichelleWFan June 29, 2011

The highlight of the whole video => Michelle Williams Shouting out That Grape Juice.

  16. TC June 29, 2011

Can we stop using this f** please? I’m tired of seeing gay guys get wet over celebrity gossip. It’s so cliche.

  17. NoHater:)being real June 30, 2011

Kelly’s performance was good, but it wasnt what id call amazing or ICONIC! the whole show in all was good, Kelly’s performance wasnt the highlight to me though, it seems like everyones trying to convince everyone in believing that…but she looked a little shook to me, wore the HAT the whole time, u didnt see her lips moving or her eyes, she didnt connect well..the dancing was good and YESSSS she did lipsing for what i dont know cuz her voice is amazing…BEY like always killed, constantly breaking records, alicia did good and what about JILL Scott she killed i mean KELLY’s performance wasnt straight murdering for everyone to forget about CB’s and everyone elses performance

I’m no hater just being real, so Kelly Fans please dont kill me:)

  18. Bobby Bulgaria June 30, 2011

    Ha ha… Isn’t that too bizzare…?

You are so much HATING on Rihanna but you still used the music of her song “What’s My Name?” here…

Btw, Keri Hilson looked HOT and I like her “Lose Control” song a LOT! Helps me take my clothes off in public… 🙂

  19. nice_gurl June 30, 2011

Kelly Rowland’s performance was good. She’s a good singer, but can’t dance at the same time, that’s why she used a back track. Would love it if thatgrapejuice got her to do thesplash, so we can hear her sing it live. I was expecting more from Alicia Keys. She is a phenomenal singer, but this wasn’t her best vocal performance at all. The best i’ve ever seen from her was at the grammys 2005. Still good though.

    MICHELLEEEEEEE <3
