Adele Aims For Acoustic Sound With New Album

Amy Winehouse‘s worst nightmare Adele, has revealed that she plans to give her music a complete makeover on her next album and plans to head for a more acoustic sound.

Despite the awe inspiring success she has enjoyed with latest LP ‘21′, the ‘Rolling In The Deep’ singer has confirmed that as well as delivering something completely sonically different next time around, she will produce the entire LP herself.

Find out more…

On her plans for new music, she revealed:

“It won’t be a big production. I want it to be quite acoustic and piano-led. I want to write it, record it, producer it all and master it on my own.”

Discussing when she plans to being work on the LP, she explained:

When I move house in the summer, my sound engineer is going to come and help me install a studio and teach me how to use it, I’ve accumulated some things to write about again. I’d go into the studio tomorrow if I could.”

With her fan base already proving that their support for her goes beyond the comment sections of blogs and internet forums, there is no doubt Adele will enjoy a similar success to what she enjoyed with ’19’ and ’21’.

However, with the success of the song ‘Rolling In The Deep’, there is also no doubt that her label will try and recreate whatever formula helped both the single and the album do as well as it did, which may work against the starlet’s plans for a brand spanking new sound.

Either way, in a world filled with singers whose talent lies solely in their ability to alternate between men, wigs and chart hungry producers, Adele remains a platinum coin in a box full of silvers.

Here’s to hoping this next LP surpasses her feats of yesteryear.

Amy in the right frame of mind i.e sober and on her A game, kills Adele vocally, musically, in live performaces and with her song writing. I love Adele and she deserves all the success she’s having but if Amy would have sorted her s*** out and come out the same time the story may have been different.

  2. Hermione fierce granger July 5, 2011

@Troy you’re a hater Amy wishes she could sing like Adele.

    I can’t wait to hear her new material!I love 21 !She’s a true talent !

  3. ISTANN4GAGA July 5, 2011

Amy,has the same type of grittiness in her voice as adele…in my eyes at least

  4. KAT DELUNA FAN July 5, 2011

Amy,Norah,Duffy …Adele is a nightmare for many. But what she is doing now, those girls did it already.

I dont think Adele has a fan base at all.Her public is just strong Album buyers, this goes for any soul artist who had the chance to blow up.

19 was better than 21,but I am so happy for her 🙂

  5. Those That Cannot Do, Stan July 5, 2011

Hard to compare since Amy’s such a mess, she did show some real promise with Back to Black but um, since then…

Still I think Adele is better, I was a fan even before this album and her voice…wow.

  6. Those That Cannot Do, Stan July 5, 2011

Didn’t Duffy quit the industry before Adele’s current album? I remember her 2nd album not doing well and her saying she wanted to focus on her marriage/engagement or whatever.

  7. ASAP (As Sincere As Possible) July 5, 2011

I’m excited for the new sound because 21 is not doing it for me sonically.Lyrically it’s a gem, but…I’m glad she’s getting inspired and wants to be creative. Her determination has me anticipating more and she’s quite ballsy for wanting to produce the record by herself.
I hope her voice is not so flat as it was at some album tracks on 21 this time around

(Amy is better at everything and more interesting, Norah is a US artist, while Adele is ww and Duffy has lost it in every department. You can’t really compare them, but IMO Amy>>>>>Norah/Adele>>>>>Duffy.

Either way, in a world filled with singers whose talent lies solely in their ability to alternate between men, wigs and chart hungry producers,………….. DAAAAAAAMMMMMNNNNNN !! TRUTH THO

  9. aisha aguilera keys July 5, 2011

Can’t wait! But I don’t think her and Amy Winehouse have much in common.

  10. MusicFan July 5, 2011

I like an artist who’s committed and is very involved in their music. Go Adele! Proud of her, but can it really get more acoustic than 21?

  11. K July 5, 2011

I do’n’t understand why Duffy’s name always comes up when Adele’s is. Duffy ain’t s***, people only latched on to her because she was different and had a unique (horrible) voice. She released a second album and it was a gargantuan flop because the next unique artist came along. The music industry is a really fickle place *sighs* I hope Adele’s 3rd album is completely different to ’21’ because honestly that album is becoming VERY boring to me. Oh and Amy>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Adele>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Norah and Duffy (Iguess).

  12. WildChild July 5, 2011

@K Yes! Duffy’s voice is annoying.

  13. KAT DELUNA FAN July 5, 2011

I love Duffy better than Adele.I think 19 is better than her lastest effort. But there is no competition.Adele is doing better than some untalented girls out there.Cant be mad at her !!!

I remember one year, the BEP got the most selling album. So I wont complain if this year is Adele instead of Lady Groupon–

  14. Rosie July 5, 2011

Duffy won a Grammy, Rockferry was a huge hit,
Amy needs to get her s*** together,
and I find that leona lewis is just a one hit wonder. next

  15. WildChild July 5, 2011

Yes! I love when an artist is actually in control of their work. I love Amy more than Adele though. There is something about Amy’s voice…

  16. WildChild July 5, 2011

Of course someone had to bring up Gaga…smh There is never a post without some negativity.

  17. lol July 5, 2011

as long as she continues to make great music im buying

  20. NigelAhmad July 5, 2011

YES! The first album “19” was more acoustic and I love it better than “21”. Love her and her guitar together on songs like “Crazy” and “Tired”. Excited for the next.

And I love both Amy and Adele and their voices are sometimes comparable but i dont think i could compare them.I love them both distinctively for their own styles.

LMFAOOO @ Amy Winehouse! If Anything Amy Is DONE!

Now I Can’t Wait For ADELES New Album! 21 Was Okay Except Every Song Had Basically The Same Meaning!

  22. JohnVidal July 5, 2011

Great that she is already thinking about the next album. It´s going to be difficult to keep the success going on in the current level but I hope for it!

  23. the kiddz July 5, 2011

    19 was her acoustic album.

  24. ASAP (As Sincere As Possible) July 5, 2011

@queenbeyoncestan I actually thought that the lyrical aspect was the saving grace of 21. She delivered EVERY element/phase of a break-up, which shows how far she can go with only one principal idea.

  25. FameKills July 5, 2011

she kinda doesnt do much promotion does she?
not that she NEEDS to with her strong album sales but I would like to see her perform more of her other songs

think she’ll be at the MTV VMAs this year?

  26. the kiddz July 5, 2011

    @ASAP

I agree, lyrically she was in fine form on 21. But, for me anyway…19 felt more raw and resonated more. Hometown Glory, Chasing Pavements and First Love seem to have more of an authentic appeal when you compare them to the tracks on 21. I wish she would deliver something different vocally, though.

  27. Queen Beyonce Stann July 5, 2011

    Yea I Agree I Love 21 But It’s Like

I love 21!!! It took me a while to get into it but now I’m in love. 21 actually persuaded me to buy 19 which I like too. I love Amy, Adele, Duffy, Estelle, Jessie J, Cilla Black and other british r&b female vocalist. Can’t wait for Adele’s new music!

  31. mobwife….don’t get bumped…LOL July 5, 2011

No need to mention AMY WINEHOUSE! I love Adele and Amy. Regardless of what Adele does, Amy is still my girl. I continue listening to “Back to Black” and cannot wait for her to pull it together to give me new material! I also can’t wait to hear what Adele has in store for her fans!! 🙂

  32. Justin July 5, 2011

Amy Winehouse is a more talented songwriter and musician in my own opinion. At her prime, I think she was way more talented than Adele. But of course, Adele is amazingly talented as well. I only listened to Back to Black after listening to 21 and though 21 is one of my faves, there’s no denying Amy’s enormous (wasted) talent.

  33. King B July 5, 2011

“Amy Winehouse’s worst nightmare”, really? This site is so tired with the unoriginal shade. Not even worth getting mad at at this point.

Anyways, I think it’s cool that she’s already thinking ahead for the next album. But it’d be nice if she finished promoting “21” first.

  34. The Man July 5, 2011

Adele is amazing, and Amy is talented, but Amy sounds like a regular throwback singer to me. They don’t have much in common, except that they both do sorta throwback soul music. Both are very talented though. Adele has built a strong following, and she’s having so much succes with just one single.

  35. Slaydele July 5, 2011

The Amy shade was unnecessary. Back to Black is certified diamond, over 11million copies sold. Amy Slayhouse cant be touched. And how dare yall put Duffy on Amy and Adeles level? Duffy is a horrible singer, that b**** is garbage!!
    Slaydele & Amy Slayhouse>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Ke$ha>>>>>>>>>>Duffy

  36. meqnd July 5, 2011

Adele can’t touch Amy with a 10 foot pole.. sorry.. What is it about men??? No adele song is f****** with that song.. addicted? You sent me flying? Do me good? Sorry adele..

  37. JohnVidal July 5, 2011

    @slaydele
    You´re funny 🙂

  38. Diamond July 5, 2011

It’s always the artist that write their own music and have control over the route they want their career to go that is the most successful. It happened to Alicia Keys, it can happen to anybody. I see bright things in the future for Adele. Unlike Rihanna, she doesn’t only have to be “cute” to sell records.

  39. SWEETY NATALIE (A.K.A. ICON) July 5, 2011

I love her. What a talent. 21 is a cracker of an album. It’s nice she wants do it all on her own but she shouldn’t shun producers who want to work with her.

Also where is the Set Fire To The Rain video?

  40. Careerender July 5, 2011

& Adele slayed Lady Gaga at the billboard charts and she is still!

  41. nice_gurl July 6, 2011

Another album so soon. Not a big fan of Adele but I am so happy that real music is starting to make a comeback.

  42. ERIC July 6, 2011

ADELA CAN SING BRITNEY’S SONGS AND THEY WOULD STILL BE GOLD (WELL, MAYBE NOT THAT AT LEVEL OF MEDIOCRITY)!
BUT ADELE+PIANO HAS PROVEN TO BE A WONDEFUL FORMULA. JUST LOOK AT HOMETOWN GLORY, SOMEONE LIKE YOU, ECT…
    =)
    WORK HARD ADELE!

  43. B_stanning July 6, 2011

adele is a bad ish and yes AS LONG AS SHE CONTINUE TO MAKE GOOD MUSIC IM BUYING. SHES A BEAST

  44. I Am…Anonymous July 7, 2011

Where is Amy Winehouse now? Drunk on stage, getting booed off, in and out of rehab all the time! Duffy, Amy, and lily! All these British soul artists have fallen off the radar! Adele is the reigning queen! GO ADELE!

  45. Michele July 26, 2011

I’ll buy her music no matter what it is. I pray she is healthy and happy…and sings forever. Her voice is a gift from the angles.
