R&B starlet Ciara was spotted in Angola last night performing some of her biggest hits to a crowd of 50,000+. The ‘Goodies’ singer shared billing with pal Chris Brown among other music A-listers.

As always Cici brought heat! While the singer’s attempt to build a global brand is applause-worthy, she is unfortunately losing ground on her home-turf. However, with a Stateside tour coming up and label drama behind her (hopefully), the ‘Like A Boy’ singer may be on track to regenerate interest in her music. As ever, time will be the determinant.
she got some big bird legs., to me she’s too tom boyish, just not that feminine. Anyway, her brand will not ever be that big, i mean she’s bringin that same kinda heat a J.Lo was able to do, but the difference in her and J.Lo is that J.Lo is Latino. Beyonce is the “it” girl for the African American culture, so none of these girls will never come next to her.
Ciara = Highly under-rated. But she needs to learn to sing and dance b/c that that reminded me of pep-rally dance off w/ all that yelling.

She did a great job. She definitely knows how to work a stage. She has great energy & stage presence. She really reminds me of Janet here. I didn’t really look like she was singing but the crowd was definitely loving it. *shrugs*
I still think I am going to be sitting out on her tour though. I am not too impressed with her catalouge. Her songs were hot when they were hits, but they are nothing I would listen to years later. *shrugs*
It’s good to see her getting so much love overseas since she is not getting any love over hear. Yeah we shall see how her tour turns out & if she can actually make a career comeback. For her it’s going to have to be with the music, that’s where she is lacking.

The crowd look so bored. And I’m starting to understand that video that the Splash posted up. Ppl don’t take her seriously as a singer cuz she can’t really sing well live. Ppl keep saying she’s the baddest dancer in the game, but unfortunately her job description is SINGER. Unless she jumps on that electro pop bandwagon while it’s still hot I honestly don’t see her resurecting her career. Her voice would be more suited for that type of music anyway, cuz lord knows her voice isn’t traditional r&b.

Kelly doesnt sing Live, she trys to hard to be s***, she kinda looks like a man, shes an average dancer and she has a ‘hit’ single with alot of bandwagon fans right now. But soon as her ass flop her stans are goin to be blaming Beyonce…..my honest opinion
Ciara is not underrated! She was a big name. She just isn’t as successful as she once was. The same thing happened to Ashanti. If you fail to diversify your artistry and become stagnant without developing a strong fanbase your career will be cut short. Your not underrated if your a platinum selling artist and everyone says how well you dance. Her music isn’t popular so therefor she’s less popular now. Nobody was checking for Kelly Rowland until she made a song people liked. Ride could have been what motivation is. If she grinded on her own instead of crying about her label. Why this b**** ain’t take her hollywood ass back to Atlanta and perform at the local High Schools and Universities to drum up hometown support!

I liked RIde too. It’s just Ciara’s voice is too paper thin for true R&B. And Ludacris always sounds the same on every song. Same flow & tone. He was the bomb on Wet The Bed tho! That’s my jam! lol!

I liked the performance. Putting on a show has always been her strength. She’s not the type to stand at a mic and sing exactly how the CD sounds.

Ciara is winning!! Just compare the reaction of the crowd during her entrance (lukewarm) to their reaction after JUST 2 SONGS. SHE WON THEM OVER….
In her Promise performance her movements were too provocative.Btw,the crowd that we can see is a very small number and not indicative of what was going on in the venue.

Also, in the US concerts that are really important for her, I would like her to either TOTALLY lip-synch a certain amount of tracks or TOTALLY sing them live. Because what she did in that concert with a turned-down backing track and her singing only some phrases looked rather unprofessional. I STILL ENJOYED IT, but it definetely isn’t the best she can do

1. Rihanna is only hot because of her team. She has no talent to back herself up with. She doesn’t write, produce, dance or sing live that well.
2. Keri Hilson only got big by dissing Ciara and now that people are realizing that, Keri Hilson is fading away. How can promote your album for over 6 months, release 5 singles and it still not go Gold. So who is Keri Hilson to Ciara? Ciara sold as many copies in the 1st week with her 2nd album as Keri has sold with her 2nd album overall.
3. Beyonce fans are acting all high and mighty because she has a new album out, but from 2005-2008 when Ciara was neck and neck with Beyonce, they weren’t saying s***. If Fantasy Ride hadn’t flopped, Ciara would be on Beyonce’s level easy.
But anyway, Ciara did good.. But I honestly don’t see how people can really judge her performance based off two blurry videos from a camera phone that only totaled 9 minutes when her setlist lasted 45 minutes.

@Antonio Ciara was never neck and neck with Beyonce she was #2 after Ashanti fell off. Ashanti actually came closer to Beyonce’s level of success then Ciara has. Ashanti has still sold more records then Keri Hilson, Nicki Minaj, and Ciara Combined. It doesn’t matter how Rihanna is hot. It isn’t like she’s Amber Rose or something. The girl has managed to build a great career on minimal talent and working hard to find music people will love, she doesn’t seem to be slowing down and I’m proud at how far she’s come!

@MAX_CIARA Ciara actually does have a stronger voice and more vocal control than Janet, but Janet has a much mider range. Janet’s range is actually 3 octaves and Ciara’s is 2.5 octaves, but she is improving a lot.
