Agreed. I also have all their albums from Bey’s Dangerously in Love, to Kelly Rowland’s Simply Deep. I do not know why people feel the need to pit them against each other. They are both phenomenal woman and there is more than enough room for both of them.

Yeah it’s not looking too hot @ the moment. #435 basically means that she is not on many people’s radar at the moment, and if James Blake (the country singer, who was one of the judges of The Voice) is only expected to sell 110 000 copies 1st wk next wk, I strongly doubt that Kelly is going to manage to break the 100 000 barrier even if she started promoting right now.
I really am not much of a Kelly fan, even though when I think of it I have all of Kelly’s albums. I started out rooting for her and I think once she performed ‘Like This’ on the 2006 BET awards I just got frustrated and gave up! She looked amazing and sounded horrible. I wasn’t interested in most of her singles last year and I still don’t care for Motivation too much. So, I didn’t really think I’d pay ‘Here I am’ a lot of attention. I don’t even like that title.
After hearing the snippets, I was really impressed! I can’t wait to listen to Turn it Up and Feeling myself Tonight and Work it Man. It just woke me up! So, I wish Kelly the best. I hope she does atleast 100K. This might be her best album yet!

Congratulations Kelly all of her success is well deserved! However, I do agree with a comment above. Motivation could have achieved much more success than it has already acheived. She don’t perform this song anywhere!!! But July 26 she will do her thing.
J.Lo had a top 3 hit on the Hot 100 and major promo being on Idol every week and barely sold 70k in the first week, so yeah Kelly probably won’t sell more then that…the only promo she’s done is the BET Award performance last month

Maybe she can pull a jill scott?…jill only had one album out of her whole career that didn’t sell well her first week, and that was due to no promotion. I love Kelly and I’m like her auntie rooting for her at her cheerleading game, but this is really ridiculously. Kelly showed everyone at the EBT Awards that she really can perform and really can sing, even if she did lip sync, she still did her thing BUT she needs to stop riding motivation til the wheels fall off and push out one or two more singles, with more videos, & more promotion. Some FYI for you misinformed stans. Beyonce was the first to go solo out of DC!!! She recorded an album with a 70’s vibe. When her first single “work it out” flopped they stopped the project and reworked the album which became DIL. Kelly was the second out the gate and had 2 #1’s with “seperated remix” and “Dilemma”. However the label and matthew felt beyonce was more marketable and put the promo and money behind her instead of Kelly. The end result is what you have now. Kelly last 2 albums with no budget or promo v.s beyonce being in your face every album era. I don’t want to make this a debate as to why The “lighter skin” member was more marketable but in America all you have to do is look around and the answer is clear!

work it out was on her album and gold member soundtrack. crazy in love samples a song from the 70’s (I forget the name). That was her initial direction and she still stays in that lane if you listen to her albums despite the singles. Kelly and Bey are close like sisters its no need to say who is more or less successful. At the end of the day you’re only as successful as your team and budget. Trust if Kelly’s first project wasn’t released 6 months after delimma and she was marketed correctly she would be the bigger star to date. If you watch survivor concert and crowds reaction you will see kelly was more popular at the time.
