In what grew to offend many on the social networking site Twitter, Ms. Hilson quickly explained herself to the relief of many of her supporters and fans of the late singer.
She explained:
Come on, I mean no harm. All due respect. But the resemblance really freaked me out. This was simply the best tribute ever.#RIPAMYWINEHOUSE.
Going onto explain:
I apologize to anyone who might’ve taken it the wrong way. As a fan, I thought it was cool that she had dressed up to honor Amy.
