Lady GaGa Performs On ‘Current Affair’

Published: Monday 11th Jul 2011 by Sam

It seems if there’s a stage, Lady GaGa‘s ready to rock it. Indeed, the Pop phenom’s never-ending ‘Born This Way’ campaign saw its international reach stretch into Australia this week, where she performed a medley of hits from the LP on nighttime show ‘Current Affair’.

Check out the 25 year old’s performance of ‘Born This Way’, ‘The Edge of Glory’, and ‘You & I’ below…

While ‘Born’ as an LP was too much of a racket to garner much play here a TGJ HQ, the project has birthed some stellar acoustic performances. Case, point, example, the clip above. Great showing.

i love the fact that, she experiments with her set . . . Go GaGa

I actually like GaGa but her album is nothing like I’d hoped it to be – I was expecting HUGE tracks that I’d put on repeat since it was touted as being “Epic” but its just been slightly above average (hence the sales decline). I do give credit where credit is due and at least she can back up ALL of her efforts with real talent as well as effortless performances, so kudos GaGa !!

Please the album is also amazing the way it´s been recorded. The thing is she can do it better live with the accoustic versions, which shows she has talent. But the album is great like it is. Maybe Hair is the only one that is far better when performed live

IF THE ALBUM WASN’T GOOD, IT WOULDN’T HAVE SOLD AS MUCH AS IT HAS SOLD….3.5 MILLION WORLDWIDE!!! 🙂

Yess Gaga…Fashion+Performances have been on point this era..

That being said,I wish some of the album versions of these songs were replaced with LIVE versions.

Yeah I agree with whomever said that. Born this way is not that great of an album but it’s definitely better than Beyawnce’s album. Born this way is a classic to be remembered for a long time. Gaga is an icon even if she is just a gimmick. Btw, I love this pic so edgy but I was disappointed with edge of glory! 🙁 Hopefully she will make better videos in the future. Judas is my favorite video off the whole album.

Sam, I liked the album, but of course tastes vary. To each his/her own.

I love you gaga I love the album. I got to say I love you better without any electronics, just your voice. I want an acoustic album in the future. Born this way will always be a flop to all the haters but when she returned in the u.s.a. her sales will go up. Pop stars can’t sell without promo, they never could. Some can’t even still with the promo. Adele is selling beautifullly she will always sell even after 21 because her music and she appeals to a broader audience hence Susan Boyle and Norah Jones. Among other pure pop acts such as britney katy and rihianna she’s selling better than them. She’s sold 1.1 mil minus amazon sells and she has sold 3 mil worldwide minus amazon sells. Those amazon sales are very fake but selling 1.1 million in six weeks is not. Why aren’t katy perry and rhianna albums selling? They both do promo out of this world and they have several hits? People won’t buy their albums they just want their singles.

‘Born This Way’ is a absolutely brilliant LP. Gaga’s continuous progression as an artist is refreshing. She could have rested on her laurels but instead she put together a album that is truly a fantastic piece of work. This is not to say that The Fame & The Fame Monster weren’t enjoyable, especially the latter- I knew then that Gaga would continue to step her game up. Yet ‘Born This Way’ is truly in a league of its own.

Now with that being said, not only is the album in a league of its own but so is Gaga as not just an artist but as a performer. She has been cranking out one amazing performance after another this era. Her acoustic versions of her songs have always been enjoyable and I recognized her having a good voice early on but nowadays her voice is just so much more soulful, powerful and all around rich.

    Go Gaga!
