MTV News caught up with famed producer Verse Simmonds (of the Juggernauts) to chat about Rihanna‘s upcoming project. As the craftsmen behind Fenty’s ‘Man Down’, the duo is looking to ‘recapture the magic’ for the singer’s 6th studio LP (due later this year).
That ‘magic’, of course, must be making Rihanna sound good.

Rihanna is quite the busy woman. Wrapping up a new album, just scoring her 25th entry on the Hot 100 Top 40 (‘California King Bed’ moves up to #37 this week), touring, movies, endorsements, etc. The Rihanna machine is always at work. And though the ‘Cheers’ singer has hinted the ‘new album’ will actually be a ‘Loud’ re-release, we can already see the singer’s tired tried-and-true formula at play.

I am so excited as a caribbean and african american I just wish she would show more of her leadership in her craft and not people giving and doing everything for her also show some of the african caribbean dancing. I used to be a fan but got fed up after giving her 4 years to improve. I am no longer cause I appreciate talent. Like now when you turn on the radio they play the same songs over and over again because we keep requesting them. So why buy when you can listen to it all day long on the radio.
