For months, speculation has been rife that soulful singer Fantasia is with child. Beyond a simple celebrity pregnancy, the 26 year old’s pregnancy would carry with it much controversy, given reports that the father was supposedly Antwaun Cook.
Many will remember Cook as the married man who hid his relationship status with his wife from the American Idol alum, arguably serving as the cause of her suicide attempt last summer.
Well, if you thought the ‘Bittersweet’ singer’s story was already complex, her “special announcement” yesterday at a Jacksonville show will raise more than a few eyebrows.

Honestly speaking, yours truly has known about this for a minute. More specifically, since her London show back in May, where Fanny was noticeably more subdued than usual; and where many backstage were informed of her ‘condition’. As such, an announcement was imminent.
Now it’s been made, we’e opting to maintain a dignified silence on what ultimately is a private matter. Fantasia does remain a great artist, though. Yeah…

Giving life is always a blessing, but the circumstances are a hot mess. I just hope the baby does not look like dude. If that happens it will be a constant reminder, of a big mistake in her life.

I was so nervous about reading this but to my pleasant surprise, most took the non-judgmental route which is great. Fantasia has done nothing more wrong than anyone else. We just don’t have the public spotlight shined on our personal lives bcuz if we did, whew! With that said being with child hasn’t stop her from being a helluva soul singer & performer. She still gets on that stage & gives 200%. We gotta love her 4 that.

At the Essence festival, it was clear and at her BAbados concert, it was clear she was pregnant. Nancy Grace is a hack, Alicia got away because she is mainstream and lightskin.

Congrats to Fantasia and I hope she releases a new album within the next year.
I will say I hope she has a strong healthy baby. I must give her props for giving a free concert in Jacksonville,Florida in 90 + degree weather.She stays true to her roots. I loved how she gave every little a hug and kiss and gave sound advice too. God will bless her and her family for this. She is doing another free concert back here in NC in her hometown High Point,supporting a Back to School charity for needy kids,admission is school supplies which will go to these children. She has a good heart and I respect her greatly for that. I wish her nothing but happiness and peace of mind. May God mercy on some of you who wish to judge for the same judgement you throw at her will be thrown at you.
