Pop force Jason Derulo took centre-stage on the quarter finals of America’s Got Talent last night. There, the singer performed new single ‘It Girl’ and chart-topper ‘Don’t Wanna Go Home’.

Clearly lip-synced, there’s no co-incidence that this serves as one of Mr Derulo better showings. For, if adamant on delivering a full-on routine, I’m all for him dusting down that backing track and getting down. Still all a bit ‘much’, yet credit where it’s due – he’s stepping up.

it was back tracked not lip synced i could her him breathing at some parts , shouting out adlibs, and “hey” that dont exist in the recording . Even skiping over some of the words during the dancing but overall he sounded GREAT,PRECISE & CLEAR! and he danced up a storm . Thanks for the post Sam

Actually I think he was singing live. You could hear breathing and it wasn’t perfect. He just had a backing track. I need more performances like this.

Jason is Chris Brown’s replacement. Young man in early 20s who dances, sings, and makes catchy but meaningless R&B/poppy music.
No, he didn’t step it up, he just wore a sleeveless shirt and turned you on, so you gave him a decent review.JUST KIDDING!.The end was good, but everything else was a bit boring imo.And why did the camera have to zoom so much in the end???His face is not his money maker and I hope he knows it.
I don´t care about dancers but he did good right? I mean he is not too different from other dancers out there
He is a very good performer but having said that he just lacks that extra something…I found that he just disappeared into his background dancers is not a good thing and there was nothing pulling my eyes towards him…I don’t know.
Side-note: His label is on point…he is just under 2 months away from his album release and he already has a second single coming out (as well as the vid) and he is performing on a popular show…too bad he probably won’t shift much when the album does drop.

I don’t think Jason Derulo can replace Chris Brown but I can see a lot of gigs for a young-nice-and-clean-black-guy-who-can-bust-a-move handled to him instead of Chris.
As long as he keeps himself focused on his game – and loosing those clothes from time to time (shom me ’em big thighs, Jason!) , a lot of great things are coming from him.

Nothing against Jason, his performance was ok, but lets be real, he could never replace Chris. After this performance how many people is talking about this and raving how good he is? He doesn’t have the superstar look and swag on the stage, Like Chris does. He is now copying Chris dance moves, Usher and Michael Jackson. Chris has people memorize when he perform, with his skills on the stage, and also is fine as hell.

I remember that, Jason didn’t show up to support Chris, Jason was in town and went to the club that night. You didn’t see no pictures of Chris and Jason together. Nervous laugh real right, he flat out burst in laughter. He is jealous and studying all of Chris and Usher moves, you can tell by his last video. You never heard Chris or Jason mention each other. So what ever, I don’t like him, he is arrogant.
When Chris first came out, he stated that Michael Jackson and Usher is the two he idolized. Jason copies so much from Chris, that his ego won’t let him admit that he likes him as an artist. All the younger new artist mention Chris, like Jacob Latimore, Mindless Behavior, Jawan Harris, all stated that they are inspired by Chris Brown.
