JoJo didn’t flop, I don’t know why people think that. I think JoJo was just having fun in these performances. We all know she can sing her ass off.
I’m ready for this new album, but I have to say that JoJo’s been shouting her vocals a little too much lately, both live and in recent recordings. She’s got a great voice and she’s too young to ruin it by stressing her cords.

Yeah she sounds like she’s yelling but I think she is still in her range and she was really belting…Its a nice song…maybe she could lower the pitch a little and then just put it on the album anyway…It doesn’t have to be a single…I really love that song..Its so emotional
i saw that early this morning. SHE’S WONDERFUL and has a great personality.
I like how she put music aside to focus on school and not the superficial life of hollywood. She’s rly smart and carries herself well. Her music and normal life balance very well.

@curly sue but she’s an r&b pop artist. Her first album jojo she did A LOT of r&b songs. She did a remake of weak by swv, not that kinda girl, fairytales, I can’t remember the rest but Jojo loves r&b music. You can hear the soul in her voice all the time. But yeah she’s pop and r&b cuz she’s a fan of beyonce who does pop and r&b too.

When it comes to her direction, I’d like her to do a bit of everything.JoJo is urban pop, so she has to do both genres for the album and release 2 lead singles imo.However, her voice can pretty much handle any genre, so she can sing whatever the f*** she wants.

And btw, @YEABEY I don’t think Limbo is in JoJo’s range.I think she’s pushing her larynx up (which is not the right way to sing).If you notice there’s a certain sound at the last of each sentence during the chorus, like her larynx is going to back to the normal position.And her voice got a little more raspy at the end of the first chorus which might also mean that she wasn’t comfortable with the key.
‘The High Road’ had so many r’n’b’ tracks that it was almost an r’n’b’ record (‘The Way You Do Me’, ‘The High Road’, ‘Like That’, ‘This Time’, ‘How To Touch A Girl’, ‘Note To God’ -well, that was actually gospel-.We’ll be lucky if ‘Jumping Trains’ has the same amount of urban material.

I listened to it twice again and I see what you were talking about…If she keeps that up then she can damage her vocal chords and cause neck/throat pain. I hope the song is lowered to a more comfortable pitch where she can handle it live….that’s if its ever released…

Her voice is outstanding, and even listening to her old songs, they still sound great and relevant, they don’t sound childish at all even though they came out when she was 14.
I can’t wait for this album I hope she gets good label support because she is far too talented to flop. I love her singing rnb, it suits her voice like her Jill Scott cover was incredible, but she is like Christina she can sing any genre, but I hope her album is more rnb.

@TGJ Jumping Trains is not the lead single for the album. JoJo already stated that on her twitter account. You should know this.
On that performance she sounds like a vocal dead ringer for Monica! I love the way her voice is maturing. She doesn’t flop. Both albums gold with minimal to no support from the label beyond the first singles. Motown is a mess. That’s jojos problem. She has a ton of material.
