According to the 30 year old’s label, Universal Republic, Rowland will be electrifying the Jimmy Kimmel Live! stage on September 26th as part of the show’s long-running Concert Series.
Of the many cuts the Destiny’s Child alumni will perform, expect to see her rock out new single ‘Lay It On Me’ – the video for which is finally being shot in Los Angeles this weekend.

Granted ‘Lay It On Me’ is gradually picking up on radio, everything from the Kimmel gig to the video shoot couldn’t come sooner. For no matter which way it’s spun, the video for ‘Motivation’ came out a whopping 5 months ago. 5 months! A period which which has seen only two televised performances and no other videos.
Still, it says something when a song can still go Platinum under those circumstances (with it’s follow-up looking promising too). As such, we can only hope the situation continues to improve fr Ms. Rowland.

No shade but i really do think kelly’s album is done. I strongly doubt any promo would help sales. I was listening on the readio today in houston and they were talking about how motivation became somewhat huge due to liwayne and not necessarily kelly. I really do want her to succed but the only way she can is by featuring the top dogs in the game a la Nicki Minaj, wayne again,Beyonce,Gaga e.t.c but as a solo star it aint gonna happen.

They should have been milking the hell out of both songs at the same time. But I kinda figured promotion was gonna be a dud cuz the company prolly reach the budget limit cuz of all those videos they put out previous of Motivation. I hope the video for Lay It On Me don’t come out to be cheap looking. I would count this era out though, it could go Gold but definitely not platinum. U guys for get we live in a singles market no one really buys albums anymore and Kelly’s Motivation has gone platinum with very little promo and her album debuted at no 1 on the R&B and 3 on the Billboard chart which is a career high, and none of Beyonces singles have gone platinum yet and she has hype, promo, and simple minded fans. Kelly’s Motivation was No 1 on R&B charts for 7 weeks and was top 20 on the 100 chart and Beyonce has not had a single go higher then “motivation” and she has 3 out already and they are all flops. Kelly is also booked more magazine covers Vibe, Grazia, Monarchy, Fearless, Juice, And Hype Hair and she also is doing acting the only thing keeping beyonce relevant is her pregnancy, Kelly is getting ready to take over Lay it on me is already chartting
