Queen of Hip-Hop Soul Mary J. Blige may have conquered charts for nearly two decades now, but the ‘No More Drama’ singer says fans should expect to see more of her elsewhere. Speaking on her contribution to ‘The Help’ soundtrack, the singer addressed previous acting roles, her ever-delayed Nina Simone portrayal, and a desire to tackle more acting gigs.

The interviewer did NOT know what the hell she was talking about!!! Sounds like she’s never heard of Mary and just glanced at her bio right before the interview. She called her the Queen of Hip Hop, she asked about playing Nina Simone in 2005 (movie hasn’t even been filmed yet) and at the end, she said she was looking forward to Mary’s acting debut. Though Mary hasn’t done a lot in the acting world, she has done two movies (Prison Song, I Can Do Bad All My Myself) and a handful of TV shows (Jamie Foxx Show, Entourage, Ghost Whisper and some more stuff).

Well she needs to do something because her last couple of albums flopped heard as hell. Mary was the ish back in the day, but I guess she lost her touch. It’s sad that someone so talented has faded away.
