She has put out 7 albums, and has had 15+ successful singles, and people are still comparing her to Beyonce who has not released nearly as many successful songs, and Lady Gaga who is a talent POWERHOUSE, but she is only on her second studio effort. Hater can be mad all they want but Britney is fun, lighthearted, and consistent with all of her efforts. . . . and most importantly bouncing right to the bank with her success. Just because you live in the “Urban Artists are the only relevant artists” bubble does not take away her credibility as the new Queen of pop. . . . Madonna is not the queen anymore, she is the Empress.

She has put out 7 albums, and has had 15+ successful singles, and people are still comparing her to Beyonce who has not released nearly as many successful songs, and Lady Gaga who is a talent POWERHOUSE, but she is only on her second studio effort. I’m not a huge Britney fan but I’m not surprised by the results of this pole… I think she actually deserves the title as Madonna’s successor out of all of these woman.
No she’s not a great singer but neither is Madonna and is currently holds the title.
She has proven to have longevity. She’s been around for years and she still manages to stay on top despite any kind of controversy or “dark” periods that she (very publicly) goes through in life.
She has had some very iconic moments/performances and though she doesn’t quite move the way she use to… I still think she has a few more up her sleeve before you completely count her out.
She has been able to adapt to the constantly changing pop music scene and stay up to date with her sound. She doesn’t “copy-cat” a-la Gaga… She does what’s current but maintaining her own image and sound.
Most importantly, she has been around longer than 2 or 3 albums. Gaga shouldn’t even be considered yet based on the fact that she only has released 2 1/2 albums. Same with Beyonce… She needs to be around as a solo artist a little bit longer before we even consider her but to be honest, I’m guessing Britney would still win the title.
I’ve got an idea… Why don’t we just ask the current reigning queen Madonna who the next to hold the title should be. LOL!!

Okay so this voting is rigged somehow because there is no way that Britney Spears has more vocal ability than Beyonce, Gaga, or Adele. Also, Brit can’t dance better than Beyonce or Ciara and I’m pretty sure her fan base was left weirded out by her when she went through her little stage. Speaking of stage, Brit has no stage presence… she’s an awkward nasally person, not even a performer anymore… in her prime yes. Beyonce right now has the complete package and is the female Michael Jackson for she can dance better than Gaga who’s more creative (because she smokes dope) and she, vocally, is considered one of the greats. She was a hit with Destiny’s Child, one of the best selling female groups of all time which by itself is great, but Beyonce is a determined individual and wanted to make a name for herself by going solo. No one can do runs as well as she can and the 16 Grammys prove her talent. She has the third most in Grammy history and she’s not even 30! Also, all four albums debuted at number 1. She just headlined Glastonbury… I mean come on. B proves that she doesn’t have to PROVE anything with her new album which showcases her raw talent. Through key changes, ballads, and up-tempo club bangers, B can do it all and she’s accomplishes it with grace, humility and charm. She is effortless and an iconic entertainer. That’s why MJ was so great… he was effortless and an iconic entertainer. Both of their music will live on well past their years.

beyonce is one of the most over rated artist out there but i am even saying that she should of won the poll for best vocalist or christina aguilera. when was the last time britney even used her vocals? everyone else on that poll can sing better than britney, i do agree that she deserves to be the next queen of pop because she is the only one out of them who has been out for over 10 years and has two albums that have sold over 20 million each. and she still has some good songs here and there but she really needs to put some effort back into her music. oh and this is not pertaining to this post but i was arguing with someone about this early, someone said who the hell would steal from rihanna well for example http://www.vevo.com/watch/rihanna/hard/USUV70904413 tell me who else has a flag with the letter of their name on it. see rihanna had the flag with an R first and now we see beyonce with a flag that has a B on it, and beyonce also did the balerina heels after rihanna had them on her umbrella video so. my point proven.
