The first single to be lifted from JoJo’s upcoming LP ‘Jumping Trains’, ‘Disaster surfaced on US Radio just minutes ago.
Available for digital download on September 6th, the releases comes weeks after the entertainer’s now famed remix to Drake‘s ‘Marvin’s Room‘ and five years after the release of her sophomore album ‘The High Road‘.

OK, it’s a solid song with good lyrics and a catchy melody.I love the fact that it doesn’t sound current (In the generic sense) and her vocals are great.It just doesn’t have that replay appeal, but it’s a cool comeback song.I cannot predit whether it will work or not, but JoJo has recorded a lot of songs to choose from, so she has plenty of choices.An urban single (especially after the Marvin’s Room cover) is necessary to launch the album, though.

She did her thing, but it’s not something I expected. Well, once they said a song like “Too Little Too Late”, I knew, but it’s not what I (or, seemingly, we) wanted. I wanted a Pop-R&B joint, shoot.
This was just straight pop-rock, something she appeared to have left behind a few years ago. This is something that any old white girl in the industry could do… this type Toby Gad sounding s*** (Toby Gad’s a beast, tho). One point for singing it well. Hope the album tracks come correct, because I’m a little salted right now. It’s just not fair when she’s doing covers of “Marvin’s Room”, and then comes out with *this*.
I wish people would stop saying how she’s ditching her urban roots when she’s ALWAYS been pop. When as urban radio EVER touched her music. Basically all her singles were pop

Ne-Yo Stan* I 100% agree with you. This doesn’t compare to what’s on the radio because what IS on the radio is Gaga and a bunch of dancey tracks that sound like crap. When Jo’s leaked music comes out, she kills, in my opinion this shouldn’t be the first single, maybe a stronger track, like Jumping Trains itself? Honestly she does pop for radio, but murders R&B. She should switch completely to R&B. I think it’s time. *shrugs* Still love JoJo, yet this track is gonna take some time to grow on me…
urban radio does not typically play white girls. JoJo has always been pop. I’m sure her album will have r&b songs too like they always do. idk, i think she is doing the right thing. pop music sells, r&b doesn’t which is why all the r&b artists are now doing pop music (ne-yo, usher, ciarra, chris brown etc etc).
