X-Factor 2011: Auditions (Week 2)

Published: Saturday 27th Aug 2011 by David

The X-Factor is back and bigger than ever. Unsurprisingly, with this being the audition phase, the talented and talent-challenged came out in equal measure for a crack at progressing to the next stage. Judging the hopefuls are new additions Kelly Rowland, Tulisa Costastavlos, Gary Barlow and original panelist Louis Walsh.

{For those unfamiliar with The X Factor, the show is the UK’s version of American Idol – with a twist in that groups and over 25’s are eligible to enter. Now in it’s eighth season, the show is responsible for birthing the careers of Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke, Cher Lloyd and JLS. Its US incarnation is set to launch next month}.
Best and worst of this week’s auditions below…

I loved the dude that had a crush on kelly, soooo funny.

and that boy band……X factor is still good without those three judges.

and I have to admit kelly and louis are the best judges.

Misha and The Keys were the two best auditions! They totally rocked it!

Kelly was mad with that couple lol, she said “Jay-Z and Beyonce are you serious?” I was cracking up.

  11. TIMMI August 27, 2011

Misha is a bad ass she took a risk talking about Giggs and Vybz Kartel but her fellow UK black folk knew what she was talking about and that’s what mattered to her… Currently rooting for her alongside that Luna Lovegood chick and a couple others.

Johnny Robison is over-rated, he sounded like a gay chipmunk.

Ok I just saw the video for Beyonces 1+1. Is it new or am I late on this?

Misha was the best out of all of them. Im not so sure about Johnny. That guy that sung ‘Help Me’ by Usher….that was kinda cute and I love that song too. Bey and Jay were extremely funny and entertaining. haha.

I’m really enjoying the clips from the X Factor UK. It’s so much better than American Idol! I like The Keys and that last guy Johnny Robinson is funny.

Hi I thought the first week of Ex Factor was rubbish but I relented and watched the second
week and do you know to my surprise I thought it was great. I liked the keys great harmony from them and Johnnie Robinson was very funny and I did laugh at the comment above that he sounded like a Gay Chipmunk! I love Etta Jame’s voice and the wonderful songs she sings and At Last is a great favourite of mine and I thought that Johnnie made a good job of it. Misha was ok but not a rocking version of the song Respect by the great Arether Franklin I don’t know why Kelly was standing up and trying to rock for there was no rock beat in the song that Misha sang I’m sorry but for me it was disappointing and very flat.
We now look forward to next weeks show. Take Care.

Misha & Johnny were bad!! Their tones & voices alone. I wasn’t sure if Johnny was a man or woman thou. He is so androgynous. You can’t tell which he is, nor can you tell when he sings. The group of boys were great too, they reminded me of NSYNC as far as vocal harmonies.
