Since its release earlier this year, Adele’s ‘21′ has gone onto become one of the most consistent selling records of all time, averaging with sales of around 200,000 units across the globe each week.
Now she has scored a feat that even her most talented of competitors have tried and failed to achieve.
For as of this Global Chart week, her sophomore album has now sold more than 10 million copies despite being less than a year old.

With 276,000 units sold around the world this week, the LP has now sold 10.15 million units making it the fastest selling album since 2004 and makes one of the highest selling artists of all time.
Beating the likes of Lady GaGa and Beyonce to see a single album shift so many copies within such a short space of time, the album is also the first LP since 1993 to spend more than 30 weeks in the Top 5 of the Billboard 200.
Elsewhere on the United World Album Chart, Rihanna‘s ‘Loud‘ is this weeks #22 with 36,000 units moved in the last seven days, 5 places below Beyonce’s ‘4‘ which has now sold 1.69 million copies worldwide since its release in June.
In at #9 is Lady GaGa’s ‘Born This Way‘ which sold 69,000 copies this week, placing it 6 places below Lil Wayne‘s ‘Tha Carter IV‘ which comes in at #3 with 142,000 units bought by fans within the last chart week.

I mean, I don’t want the video just for her to succeed more than she has, to make her sales increase… I want the video because I feel that sometimes a video can complete a song, and I think that I’d be nice to have a video for that song (although the song itself is very strong independently)…. But yeah, it’s probably not a good idea to get my hopes high. However, it really surprises me that “Rolling in the Deep” was released in like November, still it was at the top spot in the US, what, 6 months later. Yeah, I hope that too.
