Blige, Angie Martinez, Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes, and more. For those who aren’t, ‘The Voice (of the young people)’ Lil’ Mama thinks its time you get familiar.
Speaking with our friends over at Hip Hop Wired, the ‘Scrawberry’ rapstress took time away from the America’s Best Dance Crew judging table to speak on her latest happenings, a desire to do a new all-star remake of ‘Ladies Night’, and her mentors – Hollywood power couple Will & Jada Pinkett-Smith.

You yourself say there’s no modern female rappers in the game on one post…then complain about Nicki not featuring any of those non-existant female rappers in another.
Lil Kim didn’t have MC Motions and Lady Beauty Lane in that song, she had some of the biggest names in the female rap game. She didn’t lower herself.
So should Nicki feature women who can barely make their own career happen to prove your point? (Diamond, Kreayshawn, Lil Mama) or was she supposed to drag female rappers that were semi-retired/temporarilly out of the game? Just want to see your logic in this because Nicki seems smart enough to be picking fellow musicians/singers/rappers at the TOP of their game but naaah…she hasn’t helped out those poor non existent new female rappers).

Lil Mama lost her mind. I feel for her trying to make that music career happen, especially with her mother’s passing but she really does need to hire a publicist or shut her mouth. Shes always pissing off people with large fan bases which is always stupid.
NO. Lil Kim did that s*** right the first time, Lil Mama needs to find a sound that works for her instead of trying to do someone else’s song.

Ok….again this was a extremely misleading title. If you took the time to watch the video she clearly said it is her dream to do a remake of ‘Ladies Night’ not that it was in the works.
I seriously doubt it will happen cause we all know Kim & Nicki can’t stand each other and I doubt they would come together just to do a record with Lil Mama.
I am wishing her luck though cause I think people are so hard on her and uneccessarily cruel towards her. I do think she is talented. Her songs are cheesy and her lyrics are lame and juvenile (don’t even get me started on her wardrobe) but I noticed she does have a nice flow. I think if she could come up with some decent material with substance and good lyrical content she could actually be taken seriously. She isn’t a follower, she has her own unique style (though many would say she jacked Nicki) and despite what people say she doesn’t give up and you can tell she is determined. She doesn’t promote s**, drugs or violence in her lyrics and she doesn’t even swear in her music. I believe if she could find herself musically she really could be taken as an artist.
I really don’t think remaking ‘Ladies Night’ would be a good idea though. Remaking a classic usually never is for any artist.

When Kim did Ladies Night she didn’t get Queen Latifah and Neneh Cherry to star in it. She chose other women who were at the TOP of their fame who were her fellow modern peers.
So in one post you openly say there’s no other rap girls newly signed who are competition to Nicki, but then in this post complain she’s not featuring any of those rap chicks you already said weren’t around.
