As we reported here, Usher was seen on set of a ‘mystery’ video. Originally believed to be in support of an upcoming single of his own, footage recently arose proving otherwise.
Despite being in the studio working with Robin Thicke, Miguel, and others on the follow-up to his hotly selling ‘Raymond Vs. Raymond’, most recently the ‘My Way’ singer was seen making his way onto the set of famed Latin singer Romeo Santos‘ “Promise”.

Anywho, I totally thought those shots were for the video of the David Guetta song Usher was featured on but Oh well, it looked too steamy for that song anyways. Never heard of this Romeo dude and since I don’t speak spanish I couldn’t understand a lick he was saying but Usher’s part sounded nice.
He still looks a mess with that hair though. I just can’t co-sign that scruffy mohawk thingy! Hopefully he will let it go before his next album drops. Always good to have a new look to go along with a new album. *crosses fingers*

PLEASE!Some artists are just so obsessed with making history!!You cannot pre-judge whether you’ll make history or not and MJ wannabes seem to have a certain addiction to claiming history (Jason DeRulo).If Usher stopped trying to occupy some fictional throne and focused on just being himself with no “I’m the natural heir to MJ’s throne” type of statements, I’m sure he would be a wonderful artist.

What a minute…did I read that right?! Usher has been in the studio with Miguel and Robin Thicke?!?! Those dudes are strictly r&b…so I guess that means that there is gonna be r&b on Usher’s new album. I was thinking with this whole ‘revolutionary pop’ thing he was talking about meant he was gonna put r&b on the back burner, but I guess not.
I looking forward to what he comes up with. I’m really intrigued now.

@VA STAND UP I really think he has officially stated that.I’m sorry that I can’t get you a link right now but I’ll search because I am sure this statement is somewhere.Anyway, if he’s working with these dudes, that is good news for the r’n’b or urban pop fans (like myself) but at the same time it looks kind of bad that he may be backtracking on his description of his sound.Artists really shouldn’t get ahead of themselves and brag about a sound that they’re not capable of creating, let alone a whole new genre.And Usher is the cockiest person on Earth next to his protege, so I don’t know how you haven’t noticed it yet.
