Fans and critics alike were up in arms when sharp-tongued music mogul Simon Cowell remarked that once-confirmed pop diva Mariah Carey‘s role on X Factor was no more. Citing Hurricane Irene as the cause, Cowell stated he’d replaced the ‘Butterfly’ beauty with ‘someone bigger’.

Learn how to spell “desperate” first and then talk about someone. Every artist has lip synched from time to time and we know Mariah is no exception. But she’s one of the few artists that can actually sing close to what the studio version sounds like. Her last performances for her Christmas Specials in 2010 were amazing before you start spouting BS.

Looking forward to X Factor. Judge It Live crashed the server last night during DWTS because of number of hits, but hopefully it will be back up and running well tonight during the X Factor premiere. Should be fun.
