I really had assumed Cassie had finally given up on her ‘singing’ career cause I hadn’t heard any music from her in forever, but I guess not. I still think modeling is her true calling but I respect the fact that she just won’t give up.
Surprisingly, I do like it. It’s a nice smooth r&b joint, something I could definitely see getting play on urban radio. Cassie’s voice is soo annoying to me to though, she sounds the same on every song. Her voice is so flat and bland, she reminds me of J Lo. I just can’t help but think that if it was someone who could actually sing I would like the song better. Fab is the best part of the song. He’s so underrated. *shrugs*
If it does become a hit it will probably be just like ‘Me & U’. It will make an impact on the r&b charts but I don’t think it will really help launch her singing career. Nothing will.

I love love Cassie. I think she has the “it” factor despite other opinions to the contrary. I also love her voice. It has a sultry undertone to it. If she continues to work with a vocalist to strengthen it, she will do great. And if she has a dream to be a singer, I certainly support someone dream to make it happen. An earlier poster said he/she is working on a college degree and admonished Cassie for having nothing at age 25 and actually looking down on Cassie for having the audacity to pursue her dream despite negative pressure from haters to not do so–wow hate much? Some people are meant to do different things and college is not for everyone. Sometimes college is too confining for a creative person. And if one wishes to pursue a college degree, one can do it at anytime. But to be a star, you got to follow where the wind takes you at times and usually in this type of industry, age does matter so you would have to start at a young age. I for one have a college degree and not satisfied with it either. It takes a bold spirit to go and pursue his/her dream and to make it happen. I admire her tenacity despite the naysayers. And it is audacious and presumptuous for people to assume they know how she is as a person by calling her names and presuming to know what her personal life is like.
She also needs a good public relation person, because there seems to be a lot of haters out there towards her. I hope she doesn’t listen to the naysayers and continues to persevere in her endeavor. I really like the song “Radio.” Reminds me a blend of Portishead, Shy’m from France, Life in Mono…very cool and ethereal. People have different tastes..and it is all good, but don’t put someone down for being not too jarring. I wonder why Britney Spears get a pass and Cassie working her darnest to perfect the craft (even if some perceive it to be imperfect) gets poo poo all over. And some may insult me because I hold this view–in that I like her vibe–and all I can say–to each its own. Keep on keeping on Cassie!
