With combined sales of 2,008,000 , the release is the highest selling single to be released by a female artist within the last year and comes after ‘Rolling In The Deep‘ became the top-selling download of 2011 with digital sales of 5.3 million.
Currently sat at #1 of this week’s Billboard Hot 100, it bested the efforts of Christina Aguilera‘s ‘Moves Like Jagger‘ which resides at #2 and Rihanna‘s ‘We Found Love’ which holds the #7 spot.
