Harsh criticism greeted the premiere of Kanye West debut womenswear collection at Paris Fashion Week this week. Indeed, the Hip Hop maestro was subject to the difficult reviews from spectators who labelled the line both bland and boring.
Now ‘Ride‘ singer Ciara, who enjoyed the show firsthand, has added her two cents to the matter. Weighing in on her fellow performer’s latest creations.

She explained:
It was an historic moment.
It was amazing. The clothes, the feeling in the room, the energy backstage — it really felt special. It was definitely one of the most talked-about events the week, because it wasn’t going to be your typical show.
This doesn’t happen every day, and to see someone like Kanye, who aspires to succeed in fashion, to get so much respect and cross over like this, it was monumental.

He continues to inspire me with everything that he does.

Here’s hoping she’s getting ‘inspired’ in the studio, as that comeback won’t make itself. We’re rooting for her!

@ KAT ..you aint lying. Always try to blow sh.t up to be bigger than what it is. The line was JUST OK. And the ONLY reason as to why it was okay, was because he bit off other designers. Theres nothing “orginal” about it. That why crtics called it bland. Its been done already for the most part. I think he has potential though. He just needs to do his own thing.
