I think the only mistake Rihanna made with the single was making it a poppy-dance song, she’d have been better off singing the lyrics just as Chris did here because there is great depth to them. Vocals right, do you know that a singer could have highest notes and don’t give an emotion to the listener, thats what happen to me when i listen to Beyonce, she could have super high notes and i don’t feel nothing, is all in the way you sing a song, no the vocals range, its vocally impossible for Beyonce sing some of these songs, “Drowned World/ Substitute For Love” and “Frozen” by Madonna, “Toxic” by Britney Spears, “Close To You” by The Carpenters… can Beyonce reflect the pain and anger of Rihanna in “Fire Bomb” the answer is not, a singer don’t have to has High Vocal ranges to give you chills when you listen to a song. I give you a very personal example, Mariah carey has a Wonderful voice but i don’t like it, to me she sounds like a barbie, but i like Whitney no for her vocals range but because she has the power that when you listen to her you feel sad even when the song it’s supposed to be fun.
