LMFAO!!! Once more, proof that Beyonce’s “4″ was a MAJOR flop, she only got nominated for Best Rap Sung Collaboration for “Party” which she won’t be getting, not when Rihanna is in that same category with “Whats My Name” and “All Of The Lights” and Kelly Rowland’s “Motivation” are in it. Well what do you know, Bey is in 4-closure.

@Beyoncé stans, again, what are we really talking about when we talk about “The Grammys?”

Is it PURE talent or popularity?

I stan for Beyoncé but I NEVER staned for her numbers, or awards, or this rest of that b*******.

I ask you, what are the Grammy’s again? Talent or popularity? Tell the truth.

    No, on my criticism.

Have a feeling ’4′ will get more nominations in 2013, it’s noms will be split just like B’day’s nominations were split between two Grammy years. She still has 2 potentially large singles, End of Time and I Was Here. Regardless, she has enough Grammy love for a lifetime. She’ll be walking back across the Grammy stage to accept another award sooner or later.

I’m actually shocked at beyonce only getting one for party .. I mean she has a million grammys and i think 4 actually SHOULD have swept the way she usually does with her albums .. http://www.grammy.com/nominees

    Loud:

    Rihanna
Drake, Eminem & Nicki Minaj, featured artists

4 nominations as a debut artist! You go gurlie! Congrats to Rihanna! Bruno Mars & Adele slayed the nominations as well as Kanye!

I am a bit disappointed that Miguel didn’t get ANY nods. Sure Thing was the R&B song of the year in my opinion.

LMAO….Beyonce’s 16 grannmmys would keep her company on that night
It is sooo evident rihanna did a lot of “work” on her knees for those nominations
Nothing rihanna navy can say will get to the bey fans…..she still has more than everyone nominated this year!!
We ain’t mad. Obviously this is new to our lessors so we’ll let you have your moment
Mind you, these are just nominations….on that day, we will definitely have the last laugh LMAO

    LMAO @4closure getting 0 nomination.

This is the ultimate proof that Grammy Committee Member Matthew Knowles was buying her grammys.

Now that he ain’t her manager no more she goes from 10 nominations to 0?

And the only nod she got tonight was from an era when he was still her manager?

How can her stans ever deny again that she is a corrupt flop?

Wow these nominations are … well yeahh .. Congrats to rihanna (album of the year really??) but come on now adele has that in the bag no question .. I’m actually shocked at beyonce only getting one for party .. I mean she has a million grammys and i think 4 actually SHOULD have swept the way she usually does with her albums .. Then again I’ve always wondered who does the thinkin on that commitee

This officially proves that bey got her previous grammys because of Matthew. Oh how the mighty have fallen. This is better than having a number 1 album. I’m dragging all night. I told y’all 4 underperformed. No one is awarding bey because of her name and daddy anymore.

Adele will probably get the most. Rihanna will get at least 2. The bey stans on my timeline are acting a fool right now. Beyonce tried to create the r&b version of 21 and got snubbed.

Wow! I got in here early! I know it’s about to be a MESS with Bey & Rih stans! I can only imagine! I’m guessing 3-4 hundred comments!

Anywho, I am sooo happy for Breezy! I pretty much figured he was gonna get a nomination for FAME and from the looks of it he doesn’t have too much competion in that category! Hopefully he can take that one home but you just never know with the Grammys! *shrugs*

I’m not surprised about LAMN, it’s not one of his best songs lyrically, but it was a huge hit so I knew it was gonna get some nominations. I just wish his team had submitted better records from FAME, like ‘All Back’ and ‘Beautiful People’. His best records always get over looked SMH! Oh well, I won’t complain, I will just be to *DEAD* LAMN wins of all the songs he has been nominated for! A r&b singer winning for Best Rap song would be too funny! Lol!

*DEAD* at Loud getting a nomination for Album of the year! I can understand Best Pop album, but ALBUM OF THE YEAR?!?! Ok then!! I guess they based it off of hits and sales because there were so many albums better than it, like ’4′ for instance. Oh well, Adele will more than likely win anyways. *shrugs*

I swear it feels like ‘Grenade’ is like 3 years old now! Congrat to Bruno, but I am soo sick of that damn song. His album as a whole wasn’t all that to me either. *shrugs*

I hope Kelly wins for Motivation! I know Bey is in that category too but Kelly deserves it! Bey has enough Grammy’s!

Congrats to Nicki, but I hope J Cole takes it! He deserves it but since Nicki has been dominating this year they may give it to her. *shrugs*

I think we pretty much know that Adele is gonna slay and snatch damn near every award she is nominated for! She deserves it too! Then maybe she will go away for a while! Lol!

Congrats to all the nominees! Its gonna be a long wait till February.

Beyoncé stans. I need you to read this & read it again.

Not all of you brag about the “16 Grammy’s” but a lot of you do. Now, we have Rihanna nominated for Album Of The Year. I need you all to tell me what you think of the Grammy nominations now.

By the way, I STAN for Beyoncé. However, I ALWAYS knew that this was a game of popularity. Bey Stans CANNOT, at this point, turn this into a game of popularity to fit their perspectives. Never again.

So, are we talking about popularity or talent? Or, are we talking about something else?

    adele 21 12 million
    rihanna loud 6 million
lady gaga born this way 5 million

foo fighters and bruno mars sold considerably less than all of them! grammys don’t go off of sales anyways.

I really want Mathew Knowles back! Beyoncé can’t promote herself properly . Actually, she’s destroying her career.
R&B is f****** dead. It didn’t get any nomination on the major categories. Marsha Ambrosius released the best R&B album of the year – better than 4 -, but she was completly snubbed.

Kanye should have been nominated for album of the year instead of Ri’s LOUD… she was only nominated b/c she is a pop artist…

Adele will win album and song of the year … well deserved

Bon iver or J Cole SHOULD win new artist but it will go to Niki even though she doesnt deserve it … but she is pop so there you go again

R&B album should go to R Kelly or Chris Brown

Stop saying Beyonce was robbed … she won SEVERAL grammies in 2010 and I m sure she could care less about this yr since she has other things going on in her life… besides, the last CD was wack and everyone knows it.

    Gaga only has three noms

Bruno Mars (albeit talented) got three nominations alone for that overrated song,Grenade.

@gilberto Don’t let the salvationarmy oppress you. Beyonce did what was right. SHE TOOK A RISK! She did what made her happy. She did not follow the predictable route and try to stay relevant by releasing bubblegum music and although her singles are not performing well, it still does not take away the fact it’s an album of SUBSTANCE.
The Grammy committee for some reason chose to snob her and I’m not even mad, yes I did expect more nominations but hey….the only b******* is Loud getting nominated bt Adele will surely win so everything’s okay

    Hahaha
This officially proves that bey got her previous grammys because of Matthew. Oh how the mighty have fallen. This is better than having a number 1 album. I’m dragging all night. I told y’all 4 underperformed. No one is awarding bey because of her name and daddy anymore.

Adele will probably get the most. Rihanna will get at least 2. The bey stans on my timeline are acting a fool right now. Beyonce tried to create the r&b version of 21 and got snubbed.

@cockniess ur damn right u dnt wana start a stan war .. They same way ur saying beyonce stans were calling 4 a classic album and rihanna generic is the same way rihanna stans have been calling the grammys a popularity contest that means nothing because beyonce has 16 (most of which are for vocal performances which she deserved) .. Does the whole idea of the grammys being a popularity contest change to you guys because of rihanna or does it drive the point home even more *coughs* .. The navy love to push talent aside and say numbers don’t lie well say what u want about beyonce buying her grammys (some can argue with rihannas overall album sales compared with all her singles def jam is buyin them up payola style to take them to number 1) she has 16 golden tropies sitting on her self .. possibly 18 after next february =)

Matty made sure her ish was in order…but how in the world do y’all really think one person could pay for the awards out of the HUNDREDS of members? Bey is member herself…

Like I said, probably in her penthouse dusting her grammys, playing I Was Here :]

I’m upset because of Beyoncé herself. “4″ is a special album for her. She has stated it many times. I know she took some risks, but the overall reception for her work was bad. Radios didn’t like it, record buyers didn’t like it, Grammy didn’t like it, I didn’t like it. I have to be honest here, I have bought “4″ just because I’m huge fan of hers and “End Of Time”. “4″ is a good album, but it lacks on something. It’s my least favorite album (including DC’s). I couldn’t care less about sales, airplay, etc. I just feel bad for her.
But it’s a fact “End Of Time” >>>>> the whole Grammy’s nomination.

GEt over it, BEY-sides. GRAMMYS thave spoken and set the record straight. 4lop is not crittically acclaimed. You BeYAWNce stans first said she was gonna come and snatch everybody’s wigs. THEN “Run the World” was gonna debut at #1 then 4lop was gonna sell 2 million by the end of the year and ‘show how other artists how to sell albums.’ then she was gonna get nominated for all the major Grammy categories because the album is SUCH an amazing and critically loved album.

4closure is OFFICIALLY the biggest flop of the year. No one has had more promo, more TV spots, commercials, magazine covers, interviews, specials, publicized performances, videos released. Yet it backfired because PAPA KNOWLES wasn’t buying those Grammy bids for BIONCI. This year is the most eye-opening for the public. All the scandals about stealing people’s choreography and visuals and using her pregnancy to distract from her album THEN BE EXCUSE FOR WHY IT BOMBED. puleaze.

The Grammys have spoken. BeYAWNce was shut out for 2 reasons: her DADDY didn’t buy votes and the committee isn’t falling for BeYAWNce’s smoke and mirrors this year.

And i just LOVE LOVE how suddenly the Grammys don’t matter. Now they don’t mean anything. When BeYAWNce doesn’t get nominations in every category for 5 different songs the Grammys are whack. PATHETIC.

Eat your crow, BEY-sides. The Grammy nods came to a screeching halt this year coinciding with Papa Knowles out of the picture and it just eat you BEY-sides up that RIHANNA got nominated for Album of the Year. How’s that crow? You’ve been eating it all year, I bet you’re tired of it by now. There’s always the next BIONCI album which will be all dance and you’ll say its a “Return to her dance roots” due next summer. There’s always that flop to look forward to i mean that next album.

I am surprised and disappointed that ’4′ didn’t get a best R&B album nomination but of course Beyonce can’t dominate the Grammys every year. Although some are silly enough to think that Matthew pays for nominations or awards, if that were the case she would have won more Grammy’s for B’day or an album of the year award by now. Also, she didn’t win an award in the general/major categories until her third album (Song of the Year for Single Ladies) and never won in the Pop category until Halo won for Best Pop vocal Performance. So the ‘Mathew buys Grammys theory’ is ridiculous. I think ‘Party’ has been the strongest single released from ’4′ thus far so I’m not surpised it garnered a nomination. Like I said, maybe more nominations will come for ’4′ after she releases more singles. I still think there is more to come in the ’4′ era because there are still enough potential hit singles to carry the album well into 2012, especially after the deluxe version is released to I-tunes and post-pregnancy promo kicks in. We’ll see, still a great album either way.

You guys ain’t saying that now, uh?? Smh! But now since your fave is nominated its a different story…its by far a popularity contest especially this list! Smh rihanna got nominated because of her hit singles and albums sold world wide not because of her quality music. s*** party got nominated because it went to number one on the r&b charts! it does make me chuckle when I think about how heated the YOUNG Beyoncé stans will be when they see the nominations and my comments.

For the young Beyoncé fans who really understand music, they have been extremely critical of her for years. & when Usher won an award over Maxwell & Alicia Keys won an award over Anita Baker, people who really understand music have been looking at the Grammy’s *side-eyed* for years!

These same people have NEVER liked Beyoncé. She’s always been read as being “over-rated & a second rate talent.” I LOVE Beyoncé but I have always been read as suspect b/c Beyoncé is understood as being a “generic” artist in this world, yet I defended her.

So, again, I ask you. What are the Grammy’s? Do they ultimately solidify talent or are we talking about something else? Could this ultimately have to do with popularity with a few screws thrown in?

Please! There aren’t no single proof that Mathew Knowles bought Beyoncé’s Grammys. It isn’t the first time Grammy snubs a major singer, it happened to Kanye, Alicia Keys, Beyonce, U2, Mary J, and many others. Even Rihanna was snubbed once. “Rated R” is her best work to date, it’s way better than “Loud” and “TTT”, but it didn’t ge any nomination.

@MESA there you go again with quality music. When Beyonce was slaying the nominations with albums that had songs like Videophone, Diva, Kitty-Kat, Check on It, Ego etc where were your statements about the quality of music gurl?! That’s right nowhere the f*** to be found!! The whole thing is HILARIOUS cause this is the ONE thing you Bey Stans were steady waiting for as a validation for that dross that was 4closure. This album was supposed to be the Grammy’s darling, an album full of the all this supposed quality music and YET it was tossed out the highest window and Grammy Headquarters!! Btw I’m still here waiting for a Bey Stan to tell me what chart position LOUD was on the BB200 in its first week!! LOL!!!

And “no one said she’ll be number one”??? how quickly you forget, on twitter #rihannavy swore to the heavens that this was gonna be her best era and she will be “snatching wigs” and “outsell 4lop” bt now that clearly didn’t happen, you’ve suddenly gotten amnesia. Awwww

Not sure why the stan wars. If you look at it, everybody got robbed except for Adele and Kanye. The Grammys slashed so many categories that many artists got shut out. There used to be male/female categories. With the combining of them, that caused a tight field. So someone like Riri probably could have gotten more noms. Or Taylor, Gaga, Katy or Bey. Personally, the noms are all over the place. It’s not making sense. Record of the year minus Adele and Bruno Mars is atrocious. I actually would bring back male/female performance. I think Super Bass and F**** Perfect should have been up for record of the year. I’d switch Firework with E.T. On the Floor outsold mostly all songs this year. That should have had one nom at least for dance record. I actually think Pink Friday or Taylor Swift’s Speak should have received more nods. No Jill Scott??? I don’t think people should get upset about Bey, Gaga, Taylor or Britney or Katy not receiving a lot or no nods. I think the Grammys want to try to appeal to a newer crowd by awarding new blood. Though surprised I’ve yet to see Taylor, Gaga and Britney stans in the post lol. I’m sure they’re just as upset over their lack of nods. Same with Chris Breezy, who should have gotten more also. Grammys are a mess. And Adele and Kanye are going to win them all anyway. I was just happy Foo Fighters got nods and Marsha Ambrosius.

Ah cmon son, just 2 nods for 4. Bey’s most critically acclaimed album? Ah well, so it’ll take a bit longer to surpass Aretha’s record. Im cool with that. 16 grammys b4 the age of 30, 13 from just 3 studio albums – thats a biggie!!!

Now to u salvation army rhitards, pls dont make me laugh. U wan talk grammys really? U wan rumble with the hive over awards? Dead at yall hoppin all over d place over nominations. So they nominated Katy Perry’s album in AOTY, obv they saved one of those slots for a generic pop disposable lp but i know yall aint used to winning big so dance around with ur nods. Its Adele’s year but even she wont win up to 6, Rih is actually a recipient in only 4 of her categories, forget AOTY so thats 3 left. U wan talk grammys, we’ll talk in Feb 2012 when she wins for yet anoda collab

On her 5th lp she finally gets AOTY nod lol yay. Thats all sweet n cute but b keep it cute. The grammys jus givin Bey interval between her big wins. Y yall blamin Matthew though, did u ever think rihanna would win more grammys for vocals than Bey or what? Ri is no competition when it comes to grammys so leave it at sales ok. Nobody wins grammy on all their albums u fools.

Bday only won 1 grammy, rhitarded salvation army.

    @ARE YOU SERIOUS?

as far as i am concerned she doesn’t need a #1 album!

what will that do for her career?

loud #3 selling over 6 million
femme fatale #1 selling over 1 million
    F.a.m.e #1 selling over 1 million
    4 #1 selling around 2 million
teenage dream #1 selling 4 million

this is not meant to be shady but look at those numbers, now can you honestly say that a #1 album is that important.

What you dummies fail to realize is Beyonce has made extremely impossible for any female to break her record due to the removal of almost all of the categories she won in (Best contemporary r&b album, best female r&b performance, etc.) The Grammys are shot and shady. The categories are all f***** up.smh

Congrats to Kelly on her nom even though she deserved more because Motivation did damage this year.

okay I’m gna try to do something that rarely gets done on a post talking about rihanna and beyonce and that’s inject some common sense LOL Beyonces 4 era has been her weakest era ever since destinys child and there’s no denying it .. However there were many factors .. First off this the first time bey has managed herself and in her 4 documentary she said I’ve made a lot of mistakes as a manager and I’m learning as I go and get my team together so beyonce is in a transition behind the scenes not to mention she decided to change her style from what ppl expect from her and she’s been pregnant virtually this entire era ..I know the haters take a weird pleasure in seeing her struggle but I actually think beyonce isn’t in any lower of a position she was in 2008 .. She was going on 200 like usually simply because she couldn’t professionally because of her changing teams and figuring it out and personally being pregnant ..Rihanna is currently having her moment .. She’s gna get the number one singles (u couldn’t have told me two weeks ago talk that talk wouldn’t be number one but oo well), the accolades, the endorsements and she’s shining right now and her stans should be xcited .. But navy just be smart about what you say .. Because criticing beyonce having a 5 month bump (a bump that still produced a number one album and two grammy nods) in a 16 year road just sounds incredibly dumb …..especially when 3 (maybe 4 the jury is still out on talk that talk) out 6 rihanna albums hav flopped its almost a sick joke u guys even mention beyonce

@BEY’KNIGHT, it’s Album of the Year for Rihanna’s “Loud” in 2011 and Album of the Year for Katy Parry’s “Teenage Dream in 2010.”

Are we talking about TALENT or are we talking about POPULARITY in terms of Grammys?

Beyonce deserves Grammys but Rihanna doesn’t? Beyonce is talented & Rihanna isn’t?

How do we decipher this work & these questions?

you know what i think billboard should do.

they should take the first year sales from every album then compare them to albums released that same year, and then give them a number. that would sound more fair because then the album is actually competing with every album released that year and not just albums released in the same week. especially since out of all the albums released last year 2010 Loud has sold the most.

    @Bitchicant……

Its somewhere between both. Obv commercial success is def a factor thats why the likes of Katy got nominated in general category. They used to nominate Britney too when she was still in good shape. Thats how ppl like Rih got a foot in. No shade but we all know motivation wouldnta been recognised if it did like other typical Kelly singles but on the flipside last time Adele won 3 or 2 grammys her records went higrly successful it was based on pure talent, thats jus an example. Bey has won for vocals with non-singles like her
    - so amazing with Stevie Wonder
    - the closer i get to u with Luther Vandross
-dangerously in love (song, a non-single)

So i reckon it’s a mixed bag but personally i think they deliberately held back on Bey this year for d same reason they slashed categories. At least, all those stupid allegations can die a lil bt these same idiots will forget all about this snubbery when she’s fav’d again (see Bday era to IASF era). As far as im concerned nominations for Rih are just filler slots. How they gon win back their credibilty by awarding Rihanna best pop VOCAL album (autotune n all) and AOTY. not gonna happen

Actually, all award shows use hot artists to draw people to watch the show. They know if they don’t nominate people like Rihanna, Britney, Katy, Beyonce, most people won’t watch it. Honestly IASF didn’t deserve a nomination for AOTY, and neither do Loud, Teenage Dream, BTW. They’re just using them for more audience. It’s a fact. We all know neither Loud nor BTW will win AOTY.
Do you remember when Taylor Swift won Best Female Video over Single Ladies? Everyone knew SL was the video of the year. Kanye West said what everyone wanted to say. Historically, MTV never cared about country artists before, but Taylor had the best selling album of that year so they nominated hoping the people, who bought her album, watch the show. See how they completly ignored her on the last VMA.
    That’s how awards shows work.

Honestly I’m a big fan of whoever puts out good music…. We focus on these people, we go hard for them. But guess what? We are not getting their money and their awards and nominations. But I must say I love my DC girls. Beyonce “4″ only went #1 because of her name and I love Kelly and without the shade people -__- ….. She really deserves to win…. We can’t front… Motivation was a hit… Out of everybody in that category for once Kelly has something to be proud of…. Motivation went platinum…..I’m just saying…I’m not here to debate with anybody. Any shade giving towards what I said will be ignored because I have a life… I do these lil blog comments once in a blue moon

I know the salvation army wont be dumb enough to brag about nominations in future when we are talking about wins besides its rather ironic now that they want to started using grammys in their arguements; in the past thry are the ones that discredited grammys cus Beyonce has 16 and rih has a 1/4 of that like i said when it comes to grammys, rihanna isnt Beyonce’s competition. Try credible winers like Alicia.

Indeed. It doesn’t matter how many nominations you have, the real deal is how many awards you’ll win. Just like I stated above, awards shows use hot artist to draw ratings. But most of them don’t give awards to anyone.

10 million followers, 40 million facebook fans, she appeared on Ellen and We Found Love was #1 for weeks, what other promo does “slayanna” need?
And “no one said she’ll be number one”??? how quickly you forget, on twitter #rihannavy swore to the heavens that this was gonna be her best era and she will be “snatching wigs” and “outsell 4lop” bt now that clearly didn’t happen, you’ve suddenly gotten amnesia. Awwww
I’m not bitter sweetie, just stating FACTS. Something we Beyonce fans know how to do best seeing as the person we stan for is actually a respected artist
    _______________________________

Yall must not know how to state facts seeing that you all have yet to admit that 4 flopped w/ her being ‘King’ Bey n all…Rih promoted this album less than Rated R nd it had higher opening #s…..Since u know exactly how many twittr follwrs n fcbk fans she has, im guessing u follow her on twitter nd likd her on facebook just like several other Haters…all the ppl that follow her arent fans but whatever….we shall see if TTT out sells 4 WW by the end of the month……will I be able to find u?…prolly not…

Rihanna’s stans have been trying so hard to prove that Rihanna is bigger than Beyoncé that they forget Beyoncé has two successful careers, as a solo artist and as a group. See the difference?
When Rihanna was learning the ABC, Beyoncé was getting a PhD degree. Rihanna’s stans should focus these stan wars to Katy Perry’s stans, because she’s getting the Queen of Hot 100 throne. She’s the real threat for ya.
After Rihanna releasing more 4 successful albums, we can start doing these comparisons between Beyoncé and Rihanna.
P.S. She’d better improve as a singer and performer, or she won’t have any chance.

I really want Mathew Knowles back! Beyoncé can’t promote herself properly . Actually, she’s destroying her career.

And the fact “Rated R” flopped and “Talk That Talk” is flopping won’t change this fact. I really want Mathew Knowles back. He is a business man. I love Beyoncé enough to care about her. She is everything but a manager. She has been managing the whole era by herself, she even stated that she did several mistakes but she was learning a lot as well.

P.S. They can talk about photoshoots as well. Rihanna’s pretty good talking photos.
P.S.2. They can talk about foolishness such as facebook and twitter.

    @Gilberto. great comments as well.

All of my posts were meant to convey the point that the Grammy’s are not paragonal. They are simply awards. The same awards where Katy Perry can have an album nominated for Album Of The Year in 2010. And Rihanna can be nominated for Album of the Year in 2011.

So, again, are we talking about that Grammys = talent. Or, are we saying that the Grammys are reserved for the BEST artists on the Earth?

    Let us know.

It’s so funny how biased some people can be.
Yesterday, all Rihanna’s stan didn’t give a f*** about Grammy. And now they’re acting like she’s Beyoncé and she won 6 awards on a single night. But they just forget that there is a difference between nomination and to be a winner. I can’t.

They’re all feeling their pussies because Loud success. They’re acting like it’s the new “Thriller”. But they forget how badly Rated R and the other pre-GGGB albums performed and she still doesn’t have a #1 albums. I can’t.

They were excited that she (almost) sold out London’s concerts. They were acting like it was the new “Sticky & Sweet Tour”. But they forget that Rihanna sold a major quantity of its tickets for $15 on Groupon. I can’t.

They were so happy that Only Girl, What’s My Name and S&M hit the #1 spot. They were acting like she was a threat to Katy Perry. But they forget that Def Jam needed to use many tricks such as reducing the price of the singles, calling Britney Spears for a remix, etc.

    Reality fucks Rihanna’s stans.

I’m huge fan of Beyoncé, but I have to say “4″ era is a nightmare! Flop singles. Flop album. Flop Grammy’s nomination. Now I know how it feels to be a stan of a basic b****. I know how it’s to be a Ciara, Keri Hilson, Kelly Rowland’s stan.

    ———————————————————————–

Wow! That was real humble for a Bey stan! I agree to a certain extent, personally I feel like ’4′ was her best album since ‘Dangerously in Love’ as far as lyrcal content, vocals and over all concept but as far as singles, promo and sales, she definitely was lacking this time around. I think managment played a part, it does seem like every since she fired her Dad & hired Joe Camel things went down hill for her but I mainly believe it was because of the state of music right now. She didn’t release anything commercial that appealed to the masses! She didn’t jump on the bandwagon and release some techno dance pop s*** that is trendy right now. She released music with substance that appealed to her urban market and it just didn’t catch on. *shrugs*

As for Marsha Ambrious I also agree. Her album was dope and true r&b but look what they did to the r&b categories this year! They took so many away that they made it damn near impossible for artist who aren’t mainstream to get any shine. Just look at Miguel! I feel for him! R&b isn’t dead, there are PLENTY of r&b artist making true r&b music, but they just aren’t being supported by the the buying public or radio. So with the exception of a few, they get overlooked by the Grammys.

R&b artist are screwed! Chris was dominating r&b this year but he only got one r&b nomination for his album (which I am not complaining about AT ALL) and the other two were for a rap song, and he ain’t even a rapper! SMH! Chris was lucky FAME is the best selling male r&b album this year, or he could have gotten over looked too.

As for Bey, she’ll be fine. Just like A Keys was snubbed last year, it comes a time when every big name artist gets a surprise snub but its all good cause just like A Keys, Bey already has proved herself and has more Grammys than all of the people nomianted. She’s good!

What do Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, 50 Cent, Jazmine Sullivan, Gwen Stefani, B.O.B and India Arie all have in common? They all TALENTED and had 5 nominations or more on one night at the Grammy and DID NOT WIN ONE! Rihanna billy goats sit your tired raggedy asses down. She aint going to win s***! Beyonce has 2 nominations Best Rap/Sung Collaboration: Party Beyoncé & André 3000 and Best Long Form Music Video: I Am…World Tour Beyoncé. She going to win one of them.

PLUS 4 is the Highest selling R&B Album of the year!

The Grammys 4UCKED UP BIG TIME THIS YEAR!

It Shouldn’t MATTER if 4 was Poorly managed,

it still deserves more than 2 Grammys… :?

Maybe it will do better the following year like IASF did if she does End of Time, & I was Here. ;)

Hell yeah 4 deserved to be in more categories! No backtrack. Am i sweating? Meh just like sales Bey dont have nothing more to prove in terms of grammy recognition. The most by an artist is 23 so we more than enough time to pick up where we left off

Meltdown? Hardly! Im only too happy to put u brainswashed tonedeaf juvenile deliquents in ur rightful place – the very bottom of the heap. Did u reli think u can talk that crap on a GRAMMY post and it’ll fly? Dont be as lightheaded as Rih, son

Rih’s success? Wat success dear? So another talent-deficient disposable pop brat can get no1s on bb with the aid of payola, remixes, features, discounts Oh there’s a shocker story. U may be fooled, we aint. Ur girl ain nothing but a decorated mannequin. All plastic, no substance. Id rather keep the trash n throw her out

Btw, make me lol, in a sentence, How many nods did the pseudo-successful album loud get? Yall wan gloat cus she featured in someone else’s body of work smh Beyonce taught her better

NONE with a great album(elements of freedom) ol’ RiRi didn’t get ANY nominations whatsoever for her Rated R album(which is her best album next to LOUD) and the albums i just mentioned where all the ladies’ least successful releases to date! best quality, just poor reception! so may the Rihanna stans(u guys actually make it hard for people like me to even try like her coz of your attitude(to think i was actually starting to accept her as a singer…)) CHILL THE F*** OUT! BUT STILL,CONGRATS RiRi and all the other nominees! atleast my boy Kanye got the most love(very well deserved too) :D it’s a good day

WOW!!!! Bee and Ri fans are really going at it.
The truth is for the past 5-8 years the Grammys have been a popularity contest, hence Beyonce’s 16 Grammys…. she was major popular in the music charts at this time therefore she wins Grammy’s Rihanna is major popular now with her 11 number 1 singles, hence the nominations.
All these nominations show, is the state of the music industry at the moment. How can a girl who can’t really sing all that great get nominated for 5 GRAMMYS- WTF? How is Nicki Minaj nominated? I mean I like her but as someone said earlier the Grammys used to be the music industries Oscars, with this wack list it’s lost all credibility.
Foo Fighters, Bon Iver, Kanye West, J Cole, Foster the People, Adele and a couple more deserve their nominations but know that there are ALOT of acts on this list who, in my opinion should not have been nominated, this favors the MTV video music awards… I can’t

OMG there are two clear headlines here:
    - I was good with the nominations, really I was really liking it until I saw “Loud” for album of the year LOLOLOL What a joke, well it doesn´t matter cos she won´t win but really that´s f***** up
    - WOW Beyonce, she finally got ignored by the grammys. FINALLY. Don´t get me wrong, “4″ is her best album to date, but she really has too many grammys, she doesn´t deserve so many so I think it´s ok if she doesn´t win anymore. Also this goes to show all the grammys she usually won come cos of how many nominations in the R&B department they had, too many with little competition. Now she really has to fight and this is what happens.

Finally I want to say seeing the nominations Adele deserves to win big way without a doubt, and then Lady Gaga

See? I told you that “I was here” didn´t have any chances. It was so clear. And now R6B nominations have been eliminated and this is the result, I think it´s fair, there were too many and pop categories are more competitive
But respect, “4″ is a great album, just not the best of the year (and yeah definitely better than Katy´s and Rihanna´s material) Did u see the joke of “loud” for album of the year??? LOL

I don’t know what the wars are about. Let’s be serious, the Grammys are predictable. Only two people will win: Adele and Kanye. Everyone else is a moot point. It’s the same every year.

    1) Adele will deservedly win and honored for a great cd, her talent. Then as many others such as Bonnie Raitt, Lauryn Hill and Norah Jones, she will disappear from the face of the earth because fickle people will complain about her.

    2) Rihanna deserved nods because she has been unfairly thrown under the bus with award shows this year. Although, most of the nods are with Kanye. So she’s still under the bus and not to knock, will be come Grammy time. She’s being teated how Madonna was in the 80s, where despite hits it took a decade with Ray of Light before full recognition. I like Riri, but being realistic.

    3) Bey fans shouldn’t worry. After she gives birth this month, history will repeat itself such as with Whitney, Britney and Madonna. She’ll do as Star is Born, come back with a better cd to prove she’s in the game and people will fall in love with her again. See the Bodyguard, Ray of Light and pretty much any Brit cd after she had her kids. Plus she got 2 noms so she really didn’t get shut out. Some people didn’t get any or just one.

    4) I would have given more nods to Pink, Maroon 5 and Christina’s Move Like Jagger, at least one for Britney and On the Floor, and brought back the separate male/female categories. The noms are messy.

Its this years “WTF” nomination. Im glad comments on other blogs n sites are highlighting it too. Bey dint deserve to be snubbed. She freakin submitted love on top. The only way things can come around if she releases more singles next year. Truth is noone really gets to shine 2 yrs in a row. Grammys snubbed bday too, even Taylor got snubbed this year a lil despite the acclaim n commercial success of her lp. They dont want it to look like they playing favouritism. They snubbed Alicia too last year, 0 nods! U cant blame Bey n Alicia for cleaning up. This generation is wack!!!!

so beyonce can’t actually be nominated next year for album of the year or anything concerning albums, but she can still be nominated for any of the songs if they are released as singles from now until september.

oh and the stans of other artist have the nerve to complain that loud was nominated for album of the year!!!!!!

first i want to start by saying that the grammys usually nominate the top selling LPs of each year, loud is actually the best selling album for any album that was released in 2011! so tihs is the reason why she might be nominated, although GGGB was not nominated for album of the year out of all the albums that came out that year it went on to sell the most!!!!!!!!!!

This is a happy day when Beyawnce was slayed by Lady Gaga & Rihanna, hahahahahahahahaha. They say 4 is a masterpiece, but snubbed, LOL, getting a nomination only on a collaboration track & a long form video, which basically is nothing, LOL.

Them Beyawnce stans crapping all about 16 wins, where majority of those wins were just in those niche categories like R&B, and not really on the major categories. I’m not even going into the buying grammy crap, which could be true – buy your numbers via those niche categories. Meaning, the Grammys look at her as only an R&B artist, not really an artist that can best artists on other genres.

But 2012 Grammys will be Adele’s year – a true artist who doesn’t have to steal writing credits to have hits or win Grammys, LOL.

Wow Its puzzling to so that (KING B) didn’t get any nominations! Where are all you delusional Bey fans now that couldn’t express enough how she was going to rack up on Grammys next year! Lmao Even the Grammy board know she’s playing a dirty game with that inconclusive pregnancy! Congrats to the rest! Even Rihanna! Even though I think Adele will walk away with most of them!

Not to mention IASF was nominated for AOTY so Bey has been there and done that.

I wish people stop shading Rihanna, She is a beautiful black women doing her thing and we should try to support her. Her music may not be the “best” but the majority of the artist out in pop aren’t that amazing either. As for Beyonce’s snub its kinda makes since, Beyonce is in the stages of redefining her whole music career. She is taking risk and experimenting and i love it. 4 really does not fit in much of the mainstream music of today and thats why its suffering Grammy politics, its not really pop but its not really RnB and not even between its just BEYONCE (lol). What i would like to question is how Adele is getting so much Pop nods when she is not really Pop to me, i really love her love her sound but comparing her to Gaga, Rihanna, and Katy seems so weird to me. In this respect i feel people like Britney were snubbed because she is the definition of mordern Pop. As well as Bruno mars whose album is called, “Doo Wop and Holigans,” shouldnt that be towards more Soul and R&B. The politics of the music are very sketchy to me and overall… Like how the hell did neither Jill Scott or Marsha Ambrosious get nominated for RnB album of the year! I just hope this doesn’t discourage Beyonce to keep pushing the boundaries of her music!

I mentioned this before somewhere else the grammys don’t wanna see a certain artist doing well back to back. Beyonce surely did deserve those nods. But some folks whose albums don’t sell were probably kinda pressed for critical acclaim. “Loud” is there simply for viewership. It’s like give or take with the grammys.

Gaga been on the scene non-stop for 3 years, if u notice they’ve cut back on her nods too luckily for her BTW is a commercial success as have all her other LPs

    @classy_guy
i thought you’d come to yor senses but apparently, you’re still made of this same shabby material. in case you’re blind Bey has 2 nods in your favourite category (rap/sung) and the I Am World tour, yes that same one in your collector’s item. dead at u congratulating rih but u had no problem joining others to diss her when she debuted with less than 200k

    @JohnDival
this isnt the first time grammy snubbed Bey though, they did the same with bday, she onlly walked away with 1 grammy. did u see, Jill Scott’s tweet lol, so funny, she dint expect to be snubbed either. though Bey doesnt need more grammys to prove anything but this may affect the direction of her next album. she wanted critical acclaim this time but tbh off the heels of a 6-in-1night win, there was no way she was to sweep the 2012 grammys.

with her 2 nods shes now the 2nd most nominated artist in history of grammys, they just polishing her future grammys specially for her lol

I’m the only one here who watch the Grammy’s for the performances no for the Awards, i mean the nominations are a joke, Adele deserve more than 16 Grammys if we are talking about talent, Gaga and Adele would be the Stars that night, how can you have respect for a show who don’t nominate The Princess of Pop when she release an album this year, and J.Lo has her biggest Single ever, and don’t tell me this is about talent, because that is b*******, many singers have enough Grammys at home to make an Anthology Collection, well this happened before the Diva Diana Ross has no Grammys.

If you read how they picked the nominees for best R & B album it stated for an album which had over 51% radio play and other factors. CB is a baby in all the R & B fields, everyone nominated is a older veteran. I don’t like the way they did away with all the R &B fields, now the younger artists has to compete with the older artist. In my city they have two different urban station, one for hip hop and mainstream R & B- CB, Trey songz and the other for Jill Scott, R Kelly for the older urban adults. I don’t think its fair to combine both type of artists. CB, Trey albums sold way more than the older artist, but do they change their style to win a grammy with the older artist. How can you compare who has a great album, with the younger artist who appeals to young people and the older artist who appeals to older people. R Kelly appealed to the younger people in the 90′s and he had sex songs and quality songs also on his album and won plenty of grammys, but now they are combining that award. not fair.
