If the numbers are anything to go by, fans couldn’t wait to tune in to last Thursday’s premiere of Braxton Family Values season 2. The show, which was already WEtv’s highest rated, blasted onto the ratings tally with some impressive numbers.
Braxton Family Values ranked as the #1 telecast for women 18-34 (108% increase from last season’s premiere) and #3 for women 25-54 during primetime among all ad-supported cable when the show returned for its second season on Thursday, November 10. The series also ranked as the #1 show among African-American viewers during primetime for all key women and adult demo deliveries.
Congratulations are in order for Toni, Traci, Towanda, Trina, and Tamar. Fans can continue catching all the madness, music, and mayhem on Wetv every Thursday at 9/8c.
Tidbit: See episode 1 here if you missed it.

I love the Braxtons, move over Kardashians, waiting for the clothing line. In prayer for Toni and Terry. Marriage is honorable, work it out, and let GOD get the glory. What the devil meant for evil, GOD will turn it into good. Blessings! I would love to have a guest spot on the show

I love their show. Toni has a good family. Tamar is sometimes rude though to her family.

@Sam, TGJ team –
I guess “The Kardashians” WON’T have to be “looking over their shoulders,” that is “nothing to worry about”, at least, NOT from “The Braxtons”:
BRAXTON FAMILY VALUES WE 9:00 PM 1182 0.6 (Women 18-49)(http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2011/11/11/thursday-cable-raiders-chargers-top-night-burn-notice-steady-its-always-sunny-shrinks-beavis-more/110367/)
And, ALTHOUGH ‘Braxton Family Values’ scores 3X higher than “WE TVs” Tuesday 9-pm slot its first four airings, Braxton Family Values has only averaged a 0.63 household rating, attracting 350,000 women in the 18-49 demographic.
Long-story short: Even AFTER Tony Braxon’s “soul-bearing media blitz” This past Thursday’s premier was “nothing special”, as far as ratings, it even fell some 0.06% short of the its average..!!
First the DOA of “Hear I am”, and now this..”disappointment”?! Time to reevaluate, Sam: you’ve ‘hitched your wagon to two proverbial falling stars..!!’
X,Y,”and Z” — OUT..!!

“XY and Z” you are a serial hater on #BFV. Please have a seat at the irrelevant table, and get some tutoring in math!
Braxton Family Values has seen AT LEAST a 50% increase in viewers across specific demographics. The numbers you have posted were based on season 1.
Even though you’re irrelevant, at least stay current!

@Nicolea re: 5:32 pm –
Not so fast! The numbers I posted was an average for “Season 1.”
“Season 2″ has now only JUST begun with Thursday, Nov 10th’s premier. And, if IT IS a “typo” of sorts – and it IS “Season 1′s” numbers, someone has taken liberties with your numbers. According to YOUR link:
“The second season premiere of Braxton Family Values outperformed the season two average in all key demos by double-digit increases:
HH rating up +55% (1.04); HH delivery up +52% (791,000)
W18-34 up +108% (398,000); W18-49 up +75% (667,000); W25-54 up +47% (532,000); W2+ up +76% (883,000)
A18-34 up +91% (459,000); A18-49 up +73% (821,000); A25-54 up +47% (664,000); P2+ up +84% (1.2m)
Attracted a younger audience: 32.7 vs. 36.7, down 4 years”
It’s either a typo, or wishful thinking. Nevertheless, it’s one you didn’t run down. Here it is again:
“The second season premier of Braxton Family Values OUTPERFORMED THE SEASON TWO AVERAGE in all key demos by double-digit increases.” How can you “post numbers for season two,” when “season two” JUST BEGAN, for ‘BFV’, ON Monday, Nov 14th, and the show is ran every Thursday, according to WeTV..??
Also, if it WAS a typo according to my link (http://www.deadline.com/2011/05/we-tv-renews-braxton-family-values-unveils-201112-original-series-slate/#more-130078):
“In its first four airings, Braxton Family Values has averaged a 0.63 household rating, attracting 350,000 women in the 18-49 demographic, three times WE tv’s average in the Tuesday 9 PM slot.”
Long-story short — Average for Season 1 = 0.63 hh attracting 350,000 18-49 demo. When compared to YOUR info: 75% increase (650000) over/of 350,000. But doesn’t that equal 612,500..?? So, at the very least, I WAS BEING CURRENT. And it is YOU who must now humble yourself as your own data/link has proved you to be nothing more than a loudmouthed busy-body!
And when compared to its “peers” ‘BFV’ falls well-short: The second season premiere of “Love & Hip Hop” scored a 1.8 in the key P18-49 demo making it the highest rated premiere in franchise history and attracting nearly 4 million total viewers when combined with its 11PM* encore episode.
But I’ll at the very least concede one point – let’s wait to see the FINAL numbers to see if ‘BFV’ can HOLD viewers attention as its competition seems vigorous, willing, and quite able! We’ll THEN see just WHO is…”irrelevant”..!!
X,Y,”and Z” — OUT..!!
