It all began when one misinformed fan told Cher that the above line , which can be foundin Minaj’s 2010 release ‘Did It On ‘Em‘ , was aimed at her when it was really a jab at one of the Rapper’s long time rivals.
Unaware that the lyric had nothing to do with her and convinced that it was, the ‘Turn Back Time’ singer replied:
“I’ve seen lots of people come and go/ No biggie“.
This then led to members of Nicki’s fan base and hype man Safaree bombarding Cher’s timeline with negative tweets, labeling her as ‘irrelevant’ and ‘idiotic’ for responding to the fan before finding out if the line was really about her.
The situation then reached fever pitch when Minaj messaged the words “Stop It” to Cher herself, forcing the performer Jeffree Star to play mediator:
