Chris Brown‘s comeback campaign shows no signs of slowing.
With the singer’s ‘F.A.M.E’ LP serving as both a critical and commercial success (11th best selling US album this year), progress a plenty has made with its follow-up. So much so that the 22 year old’s label have confirmed that the project, which is preceded by the single ‘Strip’, is to arrive in March 2012 – a year after its predecessor.
After selling a respectable 768k of ‘F.A.M.E’ Stateside thus far (double the numbers 2009’s ‘Graffiti’), it’s fair to say Chris’ comeback has been a slow, yet steady process. Should the material deliver next go round, he could easily surpass his status prior to the incident which derailed him. And being a platform which supports talent and second chances, we can’t wait to see this materialise.

Chris has really grown on me these past few years. His discography is quite impressive. I may buy this album.

2) Considering the fact his label never shipped 1 million copies to result in platnium status how much can you expect it to sell? Tbh his label did him wrong certifying Britney who has sold less but not certfying him. If he was really a flop his album would have done Ciara numbers because Jive is s***. RCA better not f*** up.

I blame lack of management (from Jive) and poor self-management (from Chris). A lot of things could have been done to support this album.
I’ll be checking for him like I always do but I doubt songs like ‘Strip’ would do the trick this time.
How I wish he would call Bryan-Michael C** and go back to record glossy music and videos…he still has that glossy voice anyway…that gloss IS platinum.

I suspected the impact of the incident & the bad press would be felt on the sales
but record sales is usually not most talented star’s cup of tea but the touring and everything else involved in music like the ladies and access and the luxurious life.
Chris is only a super rich 22 years old with a burning desire to just make great music
Fortune will definitely do better than FAME if they don’t all leak prior to its release again.
His fan base has improved now so, hopefully the recession will not stop people from making it 1# again next year.

I am really looking forward to Fortune and I do think it is going to be better than FAME because what I have heard so far I love. It seems like there are a lot more ballads and records with substance and not a bunch of s** songs. Hopefuly there will be little to NO rapping and minimal features. Plus one of TB leaders said ‘Biggest Fan’ is incredible! I can’t f****** wait to here it!
I still don’t think ‘Strip’ is a good single choice at all. I don’t know what the hell he was thinking with that one!
