Shot this weekend and reportedly awash with scantily clad video ‘models’ , the clip is the first to be lifted in support of ‘Fortune‘, Brown’s upcoming album due out in March 2012.

F.A.M.E & FORTUNE was supposed to be a double CD which would have cost more money to sell. So he split up the F.A.M.E CD, FORTUNE CD. If you was a fan you would have known this was to be a back to back album.
Going to hold my judgement until the entire video is released. But he has stepped his visuals up, so I’m excited about this.

Anywho, as much as I want to support my fave, I am just NOT here for ‘Strip’ as a single AT ALL! Ugh! I don’t know why out of all the songs on Boy In Detention he choose this one as a single, a LEAD single at that! SMH! According to a ‘supposed’ tracklist from ‘Fortune’ he took several songs from his mixtapes and I just can’t see why he thought ‘Strip’ was good enough to be a single out of all the others. I just can’t….
Although, as much as I am NOT here for Strip as a single, I can’t deny that this pic does look interesting. I’m assuming the video is being shot by my boy Colin Tilley (LOVE HIM) and I am NEVER disappointed with anything he has done with Chris so hopefully the video will be a winner and make me like the song more. It looks like they might be going in a old school direction for the video so even though I am sure there are going to be plenty of half naked video chicks, I hope it’s not too vulgar and they keep it as classy as possible. *crosses fingers*

I agree to a certain extent. I am so over the s**/stripper anthem type songs. It makes it look like he is selling s** and he does NOT have to do that. He has so many other better records and I can’t see why he keeps settling on all these s** records He has had ‘No BS’, ‘Body to Body’, ‘Make a Movie’, ‘Wet the Bed’ and now ‘Another Round’ with Fat Joe. It’s overkill!
I don’t think the video for ‘Strip’ should be similar to ‘No BS’ AT ALL. He’s been there done that. That’s why I am glad we didn’t get a video for ‘Wet the Bed’ because with a song that vulgar, I can only imagine how the video was gonna be. SMH. If he is not gonna release any decent ballads like ‘Up to You’ or “All Back’, or even ‘Paper, Scissors, Rock;’ then I’d just rather him move on from the FAME era.
I don’t see why he choose ‘Strip’ over ‘Leave the Club’ either. He performed that at his concerts and all of TeamBreezy love that song! Even though it is about meeting a girl in the club and hints about s**, it’s not all vulgar and isn’t talking about watching a chick slide down the poll. ‘Leave the Club’ would have been a perfect single choice, plus Joelle’s vocals slay! ‘Strip’ is just so basic to me. *shrugs*
I really hope he chooses better singles from Fortune because I really can’t see ‘Strip’ doing that well. Especially with KMac’s wack ass verse! He could have at least replaced K Mac with a real rapper. SMH! I’m patiently waiting for ‘Biggest Fan’. Hopefully that will appeal more to mainstream, he won’t be rapping and it won’t be about s**. *crosses fingers*

Ch…..you still on ‘Up to You’?! He never mentioned ‘Up to You’ as a single and it’s obvious he is moving on from the FAME era and he ain’t releasing anymore singles from that album. When he released that viral video almost a year ago it was obvious he was just using it as promo. If it was gonna be a single he would have shot a whole video.
It’s time to let ‘Up to You’ go. It ain’t gonna happen.
