Janet Jackson Responds To Dr Murray Conviction

Published: Tuesday 8th Nov 2011 by Sam

The world at large held its breath last night as the guilty verdict in the Involuntary Manslaughter trial of Dr Conrad Murray was handed down.

And, while the trial drew mass attention due to the superstar status of Murray’s victim, Michael Jackson, the verdict was of special significance for the singer’s sister Janet – who patiently awaited news in Australia.

Find out what the Pop royal had to say about the judgement after the jump…

Writing on Twitter today, the 45 year old said:

@JanetJackson: Justice was good

We concur.

And, though Murray’s conviction cannot undo the end result of his crime, it’ll go some way in helping the family garner some kind of closure moving forward. May MJ rest in peace.

    It really gets on my f****** nerves when people blame Michael’s family for what happened to him. Michael Jackson was a grown ass man! Have any of you ever had an addict in YOUR family? You can’t make an adult do anything let alone a powerful man with body guards. Those guards would of kept the family away from Michael if he asked them to,and I believe he has on several occasions.

    Besides, the family did have several interventions with Michael. Obviously they didn’t work because Michael was not ready to stop. And who the hell would have guessed that Michael was requesting anesthia to go to sleep in his bedroom? Who the hell does that? I love Michael very much, but he was more responsible for the way he was living his life than his family. That was the case since he turned 18 years old just like that is the case for YOU.

    @Boopi I agree to the fullest – michael’s family did what they could to help him but michael was a grown ass man he did what he wanted to do – as simple as that. How can you help someone that keeps pushing you away ? Sorry but people need to stop blaming michael’s death on his family – murray was on trial not the jackson family.

    May God continue to bless and keep the entire Jackson Family. Conrad Murray was so negligent in 17 different ways according to CNN’s reporting. Even in the way CPR was administered and for that I am deeply sorrowed and hurt as many of MJ’s fans are. Like the report said, Conrad Murray may not have been the only dr. to take advantage of MJ but Murray could have said NO! When you check out how many phone calls and minutes that man used while away from MJ’s bedside; talking to 3 lovely ladies, it just makes me sicker. Anesthia is nothing to joke around with and that is why when you’re in a hospital under profolpol the anestialogest remains by your side the entire time not somewhere on the phone or even taking a bathroom break. Murray could have had an assistant. A real doctor always do. It was a crime and I’m thankful for the judgement. RIP MJ.

    @Boopi I co-sign 100%
