LaurieAnn Gibson Tells All; Dishes On Relationship With Lady GaGa

Published: Thursday 17th Nov 2011 by David

Days ago, we reported the shocking news that ‘Born This Way’ maestra LadyGaGa had fired her long time creative director LaurieAnn Gibson after an alleged dispute over the choreographer’s attitude to the performer’s creative direction and  her fan base.

Now the famed dancer has spoken out on what she says really happened.

Without further delay, read her statement below:

I am fulfilled with the work I have done with choreographing all of the iconic moves, creative directing the artist, appearances, shows, directing the tour, music videos, and the HBO Monster Ball, which was a culmination of my work as its creator and director.

Recently, Lady Gaga was motivated to take the helm of the creative direction of her career and as such I decided to step away.

I am extremely proud of her, and in stepping away I wish her all the best. I look forward to continuing my work with notable artists, as well as new artists that are part of my Interscope Records deal, and the upcoming seasons of my TV shows.

While we here at That Grape Juice HQ have always been in support of Ms.Gibson, we’d be lying if we said we believed a word of  what she is saying.

For, it makes little sense that two people who have worked so well together for so long would suddenly decided to call it quits, and even less believable that LaurieAnn would ‘step away’ when everyone knows that her gig with GaGa was the best thing to happen to her flourishing career.

Regardless, with or without Germanotta- Gibson will remain one of the greatest minds to grace Pop visuals and we only hope she has something in store that will silence any who doubt the impact she has  made on the careers of artists who quite frankly- couldn’t have done without her.

iconic? okay, that’s taking it a bit far. However, i dont think there is drama. Alot of artists decide to take on new choreographers to switch up their routines. Janet, Michael J, Madonna have used different creative directors to switch up their style.

  6. britqueen November 17, 2011

greatest minds??? lmfao rofl dead dying deaded

  7. MISHKA November 17, 2011

Laurie Ann Gibson was there before Gaga and will still be there after Gaga.

Gaga put her on a bigger platform but Laurie Ann did an impressive job with Danity Kane too.

She sure knows how to make a white girl (kind of) bust a move.

Work again with AUBREY O DAY. A true star. The next Madonna…Michael Jackson

  9. sallythesnoop November 17, 2011

so is this why GaGa’s performance at the MTV EMA’s had me sitting in disbelief the entire time shaking my head?

If Laurianne is not the author’s girlfriend or cousin then you have some explaining to do.Elaborate please…

Okay, the dances are very iconic and i dont see why you people think they arent? You will see everyone knowing every dance move because theyre just so iconic. They are NOT all the same. If you say that, youre clearly ignorant. Look at EVERY SINGLE SONGS choreography and tell me you see the same thing. You dont. Just Dance, Pokerface, Bad Romance, Telephone, Born This Way… like the list can go on. I’m upset that they arent working together. No matter how bad you talk about laurie ann, you cant take away her talent. Shes an AMAZING choreographer. I really would like to know what happened because what she is stating doesnt sound right.

  12. skintightjeans November 17, 2011

She needs to do something about them tittays!

  13. The-Truth November 17, 2011

I love Laurie Ann I See Great things in her future.

  14. kevin November 17, 2011

In other words…she’s still trying to take credit for EVERYTHING about Gaga except her actual music. Hasn’t this woman learned anything from working with Diddy?

Wait a minute…she did. She became the monster she once claimed he was.

  15. ChristinasCOMING November 17, 2011

That explains why they worked so well together

They’re both f****** delusional if they think what they did was creative or iconic. All they did was borrow Madonnas wardrobe and added a little more to it.

  16. antertain November 17, 2011

At the end of the day GaGa wasn’t seen or heard until the creative got on point. Vince had the vision of potential & LaurieAnn + GaGa’s hard work brought it to LIFE!!

    Credit where credit is due.
    They slayed together.

Good Luck 2 both of em

    LOL @ her statement!

  17. Those That Cannot Do, Stan November 17, 2011

Gaga’s dance moves are crappy. I don’t remember them being so terrible in the days of The Fame but like everything else the train kinda went off the tracks with this era. I think the break up is good for both of them, at the same time…I don’t think Gaga’s dancing will change significantly. Especially if she hired a student of Laurie’s to take over, so Gaga’s dancing will still be crappy. Oh well.

  18. lady whatever and gibson whatever November 17, 2011

Didn’t Gibson publicly admit to copying Madonna?

Gibson and Lady Caca are both stupid, manufactured trolls. Puppets being told what to do by their bosses.

They are not artists. They copy/paste everything.

    Period.

So who gives a sh*t about these two clowns? They could both retire, for all I care.
    Stupid monsters.

  19. Judas666 November 17, 2011

EVERYONE KNOWS THE B**** IS LYING — SHE WAS FIRED. THAT STATEMENT IS AS EMPTY AS HER IQ. NO ONE BELIEVES THAT S***. NEXT!!

  20. SHESDUMB IS A FEMALE YA DUMBASSES November 17, 2011

LAURIEANN HAS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.

  21. King B November 17, 2011

TGJ, y’all are doing too much with your ass-kissing. Yes, Laurieann did play a part in Gaga’s success, it would be foolish for one to deny that, but honestly I think it’d be pretty accurate to say that she needed Gaga more than Gaga needed her. Because aside from working with her (which quickly turned into a bad thing), I’m not sure what exactly has she contributed to the improvement of visual performances in pop music. Oh yeah, Danity Kane. Sorry, but where are they now? What impact have they made? Yeah, exactly.

  22. mobwife November 17, 2011

Good for you LaurieAnn! I see you following in the footsteps of the great Debbie Allen! Screw “Creepella” and her foolishness! Let her ‘Marry the Night’ while humping ‘Juda” and stealing music from the legend Madonna!

  23. RatedXxX(aka ratedX) November 17, 2011

How do people know what really happened between Gaga and LaurieAnne?

u cant sit here and say LaurieAnne is lying that she got fired, if ur ass was not in the room when all this happened…

im still trying to figure out who the hell did gaga copy and paste?

  24. Dezi November 17, 2011

In the entertainment world you have to remain professional or it could cost you. Laurieann handled it professionally.

  25. John-Paul November 17, 2011

    I agree with Bey Fan..

Iconic moves? PFFFT I don’t think so. Gaga’s choreography always seems so messy and disjointed. Never been a fan. The split is for the best!

  26. RatedXxX(aka ratedX) November 17, 2011

how did she need gaga more than gaga needed her, when gagas people was the one who hired her?

Gagas people could have hired anybody else…but they hired her..she was already known in the industry..she didnt only work for diddy and danity kane…

she was also a choreographer for alot of movies and other artists…

i hate when people try to downgrade other people success…

now shes going to be the choreographer for artist in interscope records..so obviously shes doing something right…

  27. RatedXxX(aka ratedX) November 17, 2011

yes working with one of the most famous pop star in the world can boost ur career..

but lets not act like Laurie was a nobody before Gaga…

  28. VA STAND UP!! November 17, 2011

LMAO! ‘Iconic moves’?! Girl Bye! Laurie Ann is so full of herself and she clearly takes herself more seriously than anyone else does! A person with an ego her size is bound to be difficult to work with and she can try to clean it up all she wants but her attitude is what got her fired! I can understand her wanting to release a statement explaining the situation but I she can’t possibly think anyone is gonna believe this bull.

Lady Gimmick is gonna be fine because she is freaking Lady Gimmick! She has a solid fanbase and even though I find her annoying as hell and overrated she is talented and isn’t going anywhere for a while. The gays love her and everyone knows they are the most loyal fanbase!

Laurie Ann will prbably be alright too. Even though I don’t think she is nearly as good a choreographer as she think she is, she can most definitely find other artist to work with. If she would shut the hell up and stop being such an obvious b**** (which is more than likely the reason she got fired) then she will have no problem working with other artist. Especially new artist who are unaware of her craziness!

She should still have some money left over from her tworeality show….even though they got canceled. *shrugs*

S/N: Her boobs look a mess in that pick! She is too damn young to have such saggy boobs?! Is she even 40?!

  29. BoyGeorgie November 17, 2011

No pair will ever top Janet Jackson & Tina Landon!

    ————————————————————————-

Just because people know the dance moves and may ‘attemp’ to repeat them doesn’t make them ‘iconic’! I don’t know anyone who knows ‘every’ dance move from her videos. Hell everyone was doing the dougie, does that make it ‘iconic’ too?! That word ‘iconic’ is overused as well as ‘epic’. Just because a large group of people like the dance and may copy it doesn’t make it iconic. SMH.

You need to not confuse you ‘opinion’ with fact!

SAM whats up with you lying yesturday by saying that Party was number 1 on the R&B charts? Are you gonna make another post to correct your deliberate mistake, or just act like it never happened and push it back a couple of pages? You tired A@S Queen you, to be a stan & biased is one thing, but to lie like you did is another. If this were Rihanna and you found out that you had given her a post ( even though there would be shade all throuhout it ) about an accomplishment you thought was factual which turned out to be the opposite, HONNNEEEEEYYYY CHHHIIILLLEEEE we ALL know the fun you would have tearing her down and loving everyminute of it. Wheres the post about the mistake you made claiming that your favorite was number 1 on the billboard R&B charts?

  33. Lady Gaga: Bow Before Me! November 18, 2011

I’m sure she’s gonna feel it in a couple of months. Gaga revived her career. But like the saying goes, all good things must come to an end.

  34. RihannaNavy November 18, 2011

    we really don’t care!

  35. nicegirl November 18, 2011

I just hope Gaga’s performances remain interesting now that she’s parted ways with LaurieAnn. She needs to get a good creative director and coreographer and come up with a new style perhaps.

  37. Nique November 18, 2011

I wish them the best and everything but Laurie Ann needs to take some of that money she made with GaGa and do something with them titties. Them boys are SAGGY!

  38. iSimplyDGAF November 18, 2011

okay..LaurieAnn doesnt need to take another damn picture without a bra on.. SErIOUSLY..damn she looks old as fok without clothes man!

  39. Lola November 23, 2011

Lady Gaga was and is a supreme artist before BoomCOCK entered the picture. Lady Gaga will remain so long after the curtain has fallen on BoomCOCK. Thank you. You should know that BoomCOCK has tried, on many occasion, to turn some of Lady Gaga’s longtime friends, such as Johnny Weir, against Lady Gaga; behind Lady Gaga’s back. Sad.
