Mary J. Blige Shares Her ‘View’ On ‘Mr. Wrong’ Live

Despite bringing in some of her lowest first week sales in quite some time, Mary J. Blige continues on the promo path for ‘My Life II:  The Journey Continues’.  Most recently spotted for fans viewing pleasure on ABC’s ‘The View’, the Queen of Hip Hop Soul certainly showed up and out royally in a stirring rendition of ‘Mr. Wrong’.

While the Drake-assisted cut’s video has already been shot and is soon forthcoming, fans who can’t get enough of the ‘Enough Cryin’ songstress can see her live performance after the jump:

Another spectacular performance from Blige – such has definitely become the standard.  Regardless of first week numbers, it’s clear it’s now time to shift focus to the longevity of the project.  As many albums have shown, impressive first week numbers do not always translate into stellar lifetime sellers.  Here’s hoping ‘Mr. Wrong’ and its following singles are the right direction for this impressive collection of tracks.

Her voice has changed a bit. It seems to be strained a little theses days, but voice changes happen to all the divas.

Still a good performance from Mary.

LIKE ME, PEOPLE ARE TIRED OF HER SAD SONGS,SAD PICTURES,SAD ALBUM COVERS, SAD MUSIC VIDEOS, AND SAD ALBUM TITLES.

People just aren’t buying quality music anymore. They complain that music sucks, but then don’t support people who can actually sing and put out quality. Bought the album and it’s a solid album from top to bottom, but I guess because Mary keeps her clothes on and is not selling us s**, it’s hard to get the numbers.

She did a really good job. She looks beautiful here.

I am very disappointed in Mary. I was not impressed with the handling of this album. You should never do a sequel to a classic and one of your best selling albums, especially when Urban R&B is not the current popular trend in the industry. I do admire her staying true to her roots but she can do better.

Mary looks nice. and ure right her performance made me like the song better. I may cop the album. Mary is a classic artist.

Oh and this song is not sad. Its called soul and emotion. Something that keeps music’s heart beating but missing these days.

Didn’t Mary release her album on a Monday? The cut off for the charts is Tuesday of each week. If so, she only had one day before her “weekly” sales were reported. This happened to Destiny’s Child when they released “Destiny Fulfilled.” They released it on a Monday and only had one day of sales before the weekly deadline. The album debut on the charts at like #28 or something. The following week (after they had a full sales week), they were #2. Either way, what Mary has sold so far with this album is still respectable in this particular climate.

Her look WAS BANG ON THE MONEY!!!
The greatest thing about Mary J. Blige is that she connects. You feel what she is singing.

Mary not always about the technique when singing but will always give that raw passion that make you pay attention.

Good Job for a veteran in the R&B game

Mary has nothing to prove anymore. She’s seen #1 albums & #1 singles. She’s seen record breaking 1st wk sales & most importantly she’s already won 10 billboard awards. She’s still the Queen regardless.

@shesdumb – you user name suits you. Clearly you are not a MJB fan or you wouldn’t have made such a dumb comment.

Mary’s new album show a creative spark that was missing from her last album and I am enjoying it. Unfortunately Mary & her team haven’t pick a great lead off single for an album since BE WITHOUT YOU so the fact that she had no exceptional lead single has definitely slowed interest in this project.
