After it emerged that the US version of Nicole Scherzinger‘s ‘Killer Love‘ album was to be released in December after suffering a number of well publicized set backs, today saw the singer confirm that the LP has been pushed back once again.

Speaking to a fan on Twitter, the one time Doll explained:
u feeling Peep Show? i love that song. Looking at releasing the US album in jan 2012.
A royal mess!
For, a release in January means that the LP will not be able to enjoy the promotional push her stint on the X Factor USA would have given it ,since season 1 of that show ends one month before in December.
At this rate, we wouldn’t be surprised if the project never sees the light of the US day since it is apparent her label are not treating it as a priority.
Let’s just hope that if/when it does come out, it exceeds all expectations- commercially and critically .
Though at this point, the chance of Nicole scoring a successful album is about as likely as finding live vocals at a Janet Jackson concert.

it has to be marketablility/ industry politcs!
the industry is crawling with half-baked crusty-assed lazy doppel hangers masqueraded as singers. if they can fool the public with their cacophony why cant an actual singer thrive? sometimes th music industry makes me sick. it’s almost like the x factor on a worldwide scale. one artist can pay to have their infectous music played, shoved down the people’s throats, genuinely passionate acts are sidelined …… hmmm

I still don’t understand why she is so supported by her label , cause she has never taken money to her label , in her career she has had only one successful album with the pussycat dolls , then a flop album with the group (Doll domination) , a shelved one (Her name is nicole) e an album that continue to be delayed (Killer Love) .Otherwise she has 2 different version of killer love , a place in xfactor usa , and continue to perform in different and important tv show.Kelly Rowland should have this treatment!

I agree 100% with GIO88. Nicole has had so many attempts at launching her solo career, and none so far have proven to be successul. Yet, she STILL is getting booked on all these TV shows and lands these gigs that some of the more successful pop/R&B divas would never get a chance of doing. I mean, good for her that her label is really trying to push her but you can’t beat a dead horse.

Nicole needs to realize that she’s just not relevant in the US and that she has moderate success in the UK.
If I were in Nicole’s shoes, I’d just give up on trying to launch a solo career in all markets and just focus on being a tv personality. She has an alright voice and the sex appeal but at the end of the day it’s all about appealing to the masses and let’s face it, she isn’t bringing that certain buffalo sauce on the steak to the table like everybody else does.

Nicole Scherzinger the solo singer will always be a flop. Even if she manages to get a Top 10 hit in the US as a solo artist (lead act) NOBODY/the public is not going to buy her album in massive amounts. Nor will she ever be able to sell out tours as a headlining solo act.
Y’all got it right. If it ain’t broke (PCD) don’t fix it. Why didn’t she wait till after PCD album number 3 or 4 at least to try to go solo? I mean she sung 90% of PCD vocals anyway.
Another factor against her… she is older, 32 I believe. And it is HARD to jump into Pop careers when you are over 30. I mean face it Nicole, NOT every one can have the the:
Destiny’s Child –> Beyonce
N’SYNC –> Justin Timberlake
Black Eyed Peas –> Fergie
careers! Like damn. ‘Killer Love’ is turning into Nicole’s SECOND shelved album, at least US wise! And that is an accomplishment NOT to be proud of!

You mad! Mad cause “On The Floor” was a global smash hit, AND hit in the USA.
Trust me I DON’T lie (pun intended) when I say “Don’t Hold Your Breath” has been the hottest solo Nicole song… But even it had some success in the US, it still would’nuv peaked higher than I say #20 on the Hot 100… Just not that big/good/great of a song to the masses!
