As is becoming the staple (and to whet appetites for the forthcoming ceremony), the biggest night in music is preceded by a nomination special to get fans geared up for its parent showing.  The LL Cool J-hosted event, set at the Los Angeles’ Nokia Theater, saw performances by Usher, Lady Gaga, Ludacris, Rihanna, and many others.

Playing prep for the February 12th event (live on CBS), get into the night’s performances after the jump…

Beyoncé stans. I need you to read this & read it again.

Not all of you brag about the “16 Grammy’s” but a lot of you do. Now, we have Rihanna nominated for Album Of The Year. I need you all to tell me what you think of the Grammy nominations now.

By the way, I STAN for Beyoncé. However, I ALWAYS knew that this was a game of popularity. Bey Stans CANNOT, at this point, turn this into a game of popularity to fit their perspectives. Never again.

So, are we talking about popularity or talent? Or, are we talking about something else?

I AM ABSOLUTELY DEAD. BeYAWNce got ONE nomination for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “Party” THE GRAMMYS have spoken. 4lop is not the critically acclaimed masterpiece yal said it was. Meanwhile Rihanna got 5 nominations, 2 for features on “All the Lights.” One for ALBUM OF THE YEAR. BEST POP VOCAL ALBUM. And Best RAP/SUNG COLLABORATION. Who isn’t respected in the industry now?

I am overjoyed that the GRAMMYS truly have spoken and set the record straight about all the “rave reviews” and “Critical acclaim” that BEY-sides said un4tunate got this year. People were being nice because they knew BeYAWNce had a total dud on her hands. The shear AUDACITY of BeYAWNce (since she “does it all” like she said) and she’s her own manager. HER submissions were audacious. 9 submissions? PU-LEAZE. Talk about A BIG EGO. AND NO STANS TALK FOR s*** than the BEY-sides.

First BeYAWNce was gonna come and snatch all the gorls wigs. THEN “Rn the World” was gonna debut at #1 then 4lop was gonna sell 2 million by Christmas and ‘show how you sell albums.’ then she was gonna get nominated for all the major Grammy categories because the album is SUCH a critical success. 4closure is OFFICIALLY. OFFICIALLY. The biggest flop of the year. Not even a million sold with 2 versions available. Already at the used CD store. One minor Grammy nomination. No hit singles. While BeYAWNce was supposed to slay she’s officially a bigger flop than GLITTER, DAMITA JO, AMERICAN LIFE, and LIBRA, and JUST WHITNEY

As much as I love Rihanna, I’m not sure if she’ll get Album Of The Year. That may go to Adele. However, the fact that she was “nominated” in and of itself is a huge compliment. The Grammys is the “creme de la creme” when it comes to awards for music artists. The Grammys for music artists, is like the Oscar to actors/actresses. So, even if Rihanna doesn’t win this time, it just means that she’s moving closer and closer to her “time” when it will happen. Even artists will tell you that being nominated sometimes feels just as good as actually winning the award. Either way, I’m still supporting my girl.

I’m a Beyonce stan and I ‘m real, that was the song that got more attention then the rest and do you really think she cares? No! Rihanna will maybe take home 1 maybe and that performace is another reason why there is always negative talk about that girl cause it lasted for 1 minute 2 tops and she was moving her mouth to a track and you nuts are praising that, just shows.. Adele will walk away with everything selling over 4 mil in the states. Another thing did Beyonce really do any promo besides the little stuff we saw NO! Gaga like her or not she is a true entertainer.. Katy Perry is another Rihanna in my book and Kanye deserved it all and so did Jay .

All of rihanna’s albums has been Critically Acclaimed
and reached the top ten. And with RR She took a big
Rish and the album was dark as many felt and yet
there was so many great songs on rr and may critics
have said that it was a solid album, but to try and please
people who was talking it down they canned it and moved
on with “Loud” and many or still complaining and with
Platium all over the world and 3 #1′s and with “Loud”
still charting Who’s complaining? It sure in the hell isn’t

OMG people please have common sense:
    - Gaga slayed the vocals with her two performances. Amazing, that´s a true artist. Both of “her” songs are great. Great visuals too
    - Usher sounded amazing
    - Rihanna is the biggest joke. No surprise that performance was wack again

Are Rihanna fans reterded? “Loud” is there like “Teenage dream” was there last year (both undeserving). But nobody cares, it´s just for cuteness and ratings. She won´t win a f****** thing same as Katy didn´t win last year. Experts in predictions laughed about it last year and this is the turn for Rihanna.
Go Adele, and Gaga, and Bruno and Marsha and the rest of talented people

Well, Lady GaGa and Rihanna were a hot burning mess!Especially GaGa!Her most awful performance to date. Her 2nd performance was miles better but she was overshadowed by Sugarland.

I loved the hip hop performance with Common and Lupe, though. They represented for real hip hop.I hope the worthless rappers won’t be on the main show, though

P.S. gaga’s vocals were pretty o.k. on marry the night.
