Initially due this summer, Alexandra Burke‘s eagerly awaited new single has since become quite the enigma. Indeed, prior to now, all we’d been privy to were quiet mutters about the song. However, that all changed this morning, when the singer revealed she’s about to make a whole lot of noise with her new animalistic effort.

Writing on Twitter moments ago, Burke announced:
“I can officially confirm… My new single is called ‘Elephant’ Feat Erick Morillo … To pre order text AB to 80115 …. RT!
#Elephant … 26.02.12″
Granted we already had it on good word that this was the single title (and asked the lady herself), it’s uber exciting to see the wheels finally in motion. Between the title, new deal over at RCA, and the importance attached to an artist’s sophomore set, we can’t wait to see what Ms. Burke is serving up this go round. And, with the track’s release due for February, it’s likely we won’t have to wait until the end of this year to hear it! Exciting times.
