Christina Aguilera Taps Britney Spears Producer For Comeback Single?

2012 looks to see ‘Beautiful’ hitmaker Christina Aguilera pushing her comeback efforts to the max…literally.  As more lids are being lifted on the singer’s forthcoming LP, news has now surfaced that the Grammy-winning starlet has enlisted hit pop producer Max Martin for her widely speculated lead single due in January.  Martin, who is the craftsman behind some of once-rivaled sensation Britney Spears’ biggest hits, has joined the bevy of big named producers taking the wheel behind train Xtina.  And, with critics already hailing the song ‘a surefire hit’, ‘upbeat’, and ‘radio-friendly’, the news (if proven correct) will only boost the already swiftly mounting buzz for Aguilera’s next offering.

Said to be due shortly before the premiere of ‘Voice’ season 2, diehard fans and we at TGJ alike are eagerly awaiting the finished product.  Here’s hoping ‘The Voice’ judge finds her voice once again blaring from radios and stages alike to break us from the monotony of today’s voiceless pop starlets (who shan’t be mentioned).

Bionic is a classic and style fresh today! I hope she will keep take risks and try new sounds and styles like she did in the past.

I’m so tired of radio shits…
Nowadays music lacks substance. I miss the 90’s so much…

    @ Sweet Tea-

B**** who needs to take a damn seat is Gaga and Rihanna. Gaga is overrated and Rihanna overworks herself.

If Christina ended in 2006, then she wouldn’t had starred in a movie opposite Cher, got a walk of fame star, had her 1st #1 single in 10 years, and been the first iductee into the gay walk of fame.

  12. Justathought December 19, 2011

I’m lovin that pic up top. Christinas a bad bish to me.

  13. Girrrl December 19, 2011

When Christina uses restraint she has a great voice. But too often she starts going off and doing unnecessary screams and extra runs to show off. Then it becomes a tragedy. Just look at the duets she does and the 2011 grammys.

  14. Im that new b**** December 19, 2011

She stil trying I see fat ass

  15. #1QueenGaga December 19, 2011

Didn’t floptina say she didn’t want to make cookie cutter pop music back in the day. Hypocritical b****!!!! Bionic sold less then 300k WW hahaha. Im ready for flop 2.0!!!

  16. LaLa December 19, 2011

^She said that decade ago dear… & coz of that she made Stripped & B2B! but after that she wants to back to the fun pop root. *just give you more wide perspective.

but ofcourse you gonna bring the sales… but for me I dun care if she sold 10k, Bionic is my fav album from her. I still listen to that album until now. you should give a try too ;p

  17. MRDIVABITCH December 19, 2011

Let’s hope that AT LEAST IN THE STUDIO
    She delivers some good vocals
I’ve been greatly disappointed by the barking, belching, roaring fest that her “belts” have become.

And if recent performance are an indication…voice lessons are not working.

  18. ChristinasCOMING December 19, 2011

    @ #1 QUEEN GAGA

B**** you’re just mad because Gaga is slowly flopping, Marry the Night is sliding down the charts faster than a fat woman going down a greased pole.

And she never said she didn’t want to make cookie cutter pop music. She said that she prefers to do something you don’t necessarily hear on the radio. Just because she’s working with a common producer doesn’t mean you’ll hear the same B******* that Katy and Britney came out with this year

Christina comes exceptionally HARD in all her songs regardless of the style it is!.

  19. meh December 19, 2011

she’s with britney’s producers? so this’ gonna be an autotune mess?

damn. she’s got so much soul roots in it.

    this’ not popcorn. 🙁

  20. MRDIVABITCH December 19, 2011

    @ ChristinasCOMING

She did use the words “cookiecutter” to refer to pop music
She has also called it “in a pretty pre-packaged box”.
She is a hypocrite, the b**** has always been a f****** hypocrite
Her age was no excuse for her to release t*** pop if she so wanted to go soul and R&B. Brandy and Monica came out with soul and R&B were little, Jane Monheit came out with a very adult sounding jazz album when she was the same age as Christina, etc.

But doesn’t surprise me, the b**** is always jumping on whatever style and whatever persona she can swagger jack from whoever is more relevant than her…

    T*** POP/R&B with Britney
    Latin-Pop with Ricky/J.LO
    Christmas with Celine
    Soul-flavored Rock with Pink
    Throwback with Amy Winehouse
    Electro-pop with Gaga…

    GURL #BYE

B**** shape shifts into other people faster than Mystique from the X-men

  21. ChristinasCOMING December 20, 2011

    @ MRDIVABITCH

B**** you are seriously on one!

Christina’s always been a f****** chameleon and we’ve always known her to consistenly change her style and sound with every era. One thing she is no stranger to is CHANGE which is obviously something a lot of people today LACK!

I am a huge fan of hers and don’t remember her using those terms as you so elegantly worded them.

Christina has always been an innovator when it came to her style and music. She dared to do Stripped in a time where most critics were close minded and wanted to slam the door in her face, especially when IT music at that time was still bubblegum pop. She dared to channel a more retro sound and look in a time where Rap and R&B were the IT music at that time and a lot of artists started following in her footsteps with jazz music.

How old are you btw? My guess is a delusional t*** who doesn’t know s*** when it comes to her career, just from accusations.

  22. MRDIVABITCH December 20, 2011

    @ CHRISTINASCOMING

I used to be a hardcore fan of her and remember those terms very well, in fact, I’m pretty sure I can provide you specific quotations if I start looking for the articles.

She “dared” to release Stripped after Pink had been successful with a similar sound, in fact, she “Dared” to make Stripped by working with the same exact 3 producers of Pink’s second album.

    Checkmate.

  23. LaLa December 20, 2011

^ Oh here we go again… lol

“the b**** is always jumping on whatever style and whatever persona she can swagger jack from whoever is more relevant than her…”

    Oh C’mon bro…
you must try to sign up with big label & know how cruel the industry worked.
they gonna made you the Adam Lambert 2.0. or else… a new artist didn’t have too much power on the creative direction & singles. esp.. if you’re a cutie blonde girl in the late 90’s***

Yeah I kinda get it your comment with Stripped. Well it’s Linda Perry y’all… She’s the ‘mentor’ of both album. & I don’t think Pink had a gem like (slutty) Dirrty, CHUD, etc… but yeah both were introspective album with a different ingredients.

  26. There is enough place for every artist – Stans stop hating others December 20, 2011

I think Christina and Britney should do a DUET on Britney’s or Christina’s new album. They could show that thse two girls are the leaders of the industry after Madonna.

These two powerful women – Britney and Christina – had the biggest pop-flavoured hits since 1999. Everyone is just a copycat and follower. These 2 girls have a huge aura and personality. A common song would be a sure fire winner and would freeze the industry. :-)))

  27. There is enough place for every artist – Stans stop hating others December 20, 2011

    @MRDIVA

Believe me: it’s not enough to dare to work with the same producers. The artist is a bigger component of this.

e.g. Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake were succesfull at the same time with the TImbaland sound, but everyone else whose song was produced by TImbo was flopped. A good producer is not enough, you need personality and powerful lyrics, songs with awesome tour. Stripped had all. 🙂

And by the way who else tried the Back to Basics sound before Christina? Hahahaha. Nobody!!! And it was a sure fire winner record too!!!!

  28. MRDIVABITCH December 20, 2011

    @ LALA

Her age at the time was no excuse if what she wanted was to go on the legit soul/R&B rout. Just look at Brandy or Monica, and if you wanna get more sophisticated look at Jane Monheit who released a very adult jazz album when she was the same age as Christina.

She chose to go along with the pop route to compete with Britney, that’s all, no shame in that, but she shouldn’t act like she was “forced” to, it’s not like someone held a gun to her head and forced her to sing those songs…

And IMO, she sang 10 times better back then when her label and management were holding her back from oversinging.

  29. Xadax December 20, 2011

  30. LaLa December 20, 2011

    @Morganna

Just clarification some points you’ve said

    album release time:
Back To Basics: August 10, 2006 – Back To Black: 27 October 2006

even though Xtina release it 1st, she still the one who copy, right? (& people don’t even poke Amy because of the similar album title, & you can image if the opposite thing happened!). Troll will jumps in like crazy!

same thing with Bionic… she already told media @2006 that her next album will be electro pop fun. (KGB GH – Bionic). & the.. yeah you know the rest.

Still She the fav punching bag. smh

but at least 1 more that I adore from her. With all ‘Storms’ surrounding her this couple years. She still standing still & manage to be Sane! a FIGHTER indeed. <3

If you a trully hardcore fan of her, She wants “Obvious’ or “So Emotional” to be her debut single. cmiiw* But ofcourse label want to follow the Cha~Ching stream which was bubblegum song/single. 1 petite newcommer against many music exec.. hell you can guess. Hell… even her 1st t*** debut was “Reflection” (<– the 1st time i fell in love with her voice) is no ordinary bublegum song.

don't even mentioned Brandy/Monica, they were different flava.

Thank goodness Christina is paying attention to what is successfully working. But be careful. What works for Britney may not work for you Xtina. We hold you to another musical standard when it comes to song selection.

I’m a bit worried for Xtina because I just really believe there’s much she needs to do to prepare for this upcoming comeback. She really needs to lose the weight first. She needs to craft a style for this era and get into the public eye in more ways than one.

The Voice can’t be her ONLY platform. She needs to secure a couple of endorsements if possible. She should do a few small concerts to build hype. And her promotion is going to have to be extensive…..meaning it just can’t be in America.

You can tell her management is planning this extremely carefully. They waited to many of the heavyhitters got out of the way so that she can have the spotlight by herself. With Bey, Rihanna, Adele, Brit, and Gaga out the way, she can rule the Pop scene unmatched if her material is good. However, this depends on what Madonna, Ke$ha, and Nicki have up their sleeves.

    Good luck Xtina.

  34. MRDIVABITCH December 20, 2011

    @ LALA

Actually, Christina wanted “I turn to you” to be her first single as she wanted a ballad to show her voice the way Whitney and Mariah debuted with ballads. “Obvious” was not her choice for first single, but it was the song from her demo that she felt showed her voice more.

And “So emotional” wasn’t her choice for a single at all, as it was supposed to be her second single but she begged her label to let her release “what a girl wants” instead, rerecording it from the original slow R&B jam into more radio Pop/R&B

  35. ChristinasCOMING December 20, 2011

    @ MRDIVABITCH-

If you had watched the interview of Linda Perry about Christina you’d know Linda approached her first wanting to work with her because she knew Christina was holding back and what she really wanted and I’m not going to say anything bad about Pink because I love her too but she can be a hater when she wants to be. Linda wanted to give Christina Beautiful…yes Pink wanted that song but Linda wanted Christina to have it. Christina had more of a troubled childhood than Pink did and when she was given the chance to sing about it, she took it. She was already working on Stripped well before Pink released Misunderstood. Both albums are sonically different and the style of them are in different directions. Scott Storch only worked on 1 song from Pink’s album as opposed to the 7 songs he did with Christina on Stripped. Pink should’ve realized that she wasn’t the only artist BIG at that time and so what if Christina wanted to work with Linda and Scott? How is that any different than all the current IT b****** working with the same people, getting each other’s sloppy seconds?

    CHECKMATE

  36. LaLa December 20, 2011

Thanks for the info/correction bb. Gosh I love ITTY! I rewind it over & over. & back then I kinda wish that “When you puts your hands on me” release as a single.

  37. ChristinasCOMING December 20, 2011

    And btw Divabitch

Where the hell are you getting your facts?

First of all, Christina has said that Obvious was her favorite song from her debut. Nothing else….Second of all, her label pushed for So Emotional instead of Come On Over but Christina objected to it and got her way with Come On Over. Third, there was no objections toward releasing Genie and What a Girl Wants as singles. As a hardcord Xtina stan, I know more about her than you probably do.

When Stripped was released, her label initially wanted Beautiful but she pushed for Dirrty to replace it and again got her way. Then, she wanted to release Impossible instead of The Voice Within but her label objected to that idea.

With Back to Basics, Candyman was initially to be released as the 2nd single but Hurt was chosen instead.

Glam was supposed to be the lead single from Bionic, then Lift Me Up but her label became very insecure about the current trend in music that they completely rearranged her entire plans therefore f****** up her groove.

This time, it’s all Christina and you better be ready when she’s back!

  38. aisha aguilera keys December 20, 2011

She looks hot in that pic. Can’t wait!

  39. MRDIVABITCH December 20, 2011

    @ CHRISTINASCOMING

Christina not only worked with Linda and Scott but also Dallas Austin (though his songs were cut for reasons you must know), the same 3 producers in Pink’s album.

And no, your facts are wrong, before releasing her second single she had been promoting “so emotional” singing it on tv along with genie, her label was pushing for that song but she felt it wasn’t strong enough, so she asked to release WAGW instead. She even recorded a spanish version of “so emotional” that was cut out of her spanish album. “Come on over” was always intended to be a single as she used the original song production (instead of the redone radio mix) for the spanish version.

Anyways, Bionic was a disappointment, claiming it was gonna fresh and organic experimental electronica and glam was vogue 2.0, and instead she works with overused shits like Tricky and glam ends being one of the weakest songs in the album.

  40. ASAP (As Sincere As Possible) December 20, 2011

I can’t believe you twisted the story like that.Britney doesn’t own Max Martin, he hasn’t bought him!!He’s worked with Pink, Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry, everyone and their mother!!He’s not Britney’s producer! And I love Britney too, but that title… 🙄

Anyway, Christina is gearing up!!Her new pictures at ‘The Voice’ behind the scenes showcase the beginning of what could be a huge weight loss, she has collaborated with a huge range of producers (Alex Da Kid, Tricky Stewart, Sandy Vee, Linda Perry, Sia, DJ Premier, William Orbit, Dr Luke, Max Martin, Scott Storch and SOOO many others) and radio programmers are praising her single!!She’s ready!!

The single will not be fully representative of the album, though. She just needs a commercial radio friendly track to launch her return, something that gets stuck in people’s head until they have no option but to purchase it 😀 😀 The whole album will be much more diverse, like ‘Stripped’ which wasn’t represented in its entirety by ‘Dirrty’ (or ‘Beautiful’ for that matter).I think the album is going to be amazing!!
