Soon after X Factor USA judge LA Reid became the newly appointed head of Epic Records, many spectators began to suspect whether the acclaimed producer had plans to entice Pop stunner Jennifer Lopez out of her deal with Island Def Jam in a bid to sign her to his label, which also houses dynamic duo ‘Karmin‘.
Today, those suspicions reached fever pitch after both parties engaged in a ‘very public’ conversation online,which gave many no choice but to assume a partnership between the pair is in the works.

Taking to her Twitter account, Ms. Lopez announced:
“Playing some new music for the man himself @LA Reid”
To which Reid replied:
“And the sh*t is fire baby”
Which prompted Jennifer to reply with:
“Thanks again baby!”
While this does not confirm Lopez’ departure from Def Jam, it wouldn’t be far fetched to assume that 2012 will see Epic open its doors to one time ‘Fly Girl’, since the likelihood of her playing music for her old boss and then announcing this on Twitter for the sake of it is quite slim.
Though this is great news for any in support of Lopez and her career, our concern is what this will mean for ‘Ride’ belle Ciara who of course ‘announced’ her signing to Epic in a similar fashion some months back.
Because, it would be a dirty shame if she finally managed to escape the clutches of JIVE only to find herself playing second fiddle to a woman more renowned and established than she currently is.
Either way, if this new music from JLO is as hot Reid says it is we can’t wait to hear it.
Especially if it means a far more successful follow up to ‘Love?’is on its way.

To be honest I don´t care much for music industry in Spain so no, it´s not that I´m jelous cos we have not an international diva from Spain. Why should I care for that?? I just love GREAT talent for music, which means one of these two things: singing or songwriting (and producing, etc). She has none of that on lock. Sorry. She´s very beautiful though.
Also I don´t think Penelope Cruz should be grateful to someone like JLo for anything. I don´t see the conecction between the two. Penelope has done some great roles and being recognized while JLo hasn´t. Her filming career is like her music career: average and generic. Sorry (and I don´t even care about penelope much, I prefer the greats ones, you know, Meryl Streep, Nicole, Kate Winslet, etc
