Miguel Talks Recent Grammy Snub

Looks like Beyonce‘s Grammy snub isn’t the only one getting R&B fans riled up.  Much like fellow R&B frontrunner Jill Scott, ‘Sure Thing’ singer Miguel was certainly believed to be a surefire nominee for many of the genre’s categories.  But, even after winning big at the 2011 Soul Train Music Awards for similar categories, such recognition was not extended to the young crooner by the Grammy academy.

The Jive recording star certainly didn’t take the snub silently as he took to Twitter shortly after the nominations were announced to voice his disappointment.   Speaking with our friends over at GWHH, see what else Miguel unveiled about his next album, forthcoming plans, and, of course, his emotional outburst on Twitter following his unceremonious Grammy snub after the jump:

Keep it locked to That Grape Juice as we present a special edition of ‘The Splash’ ‘An Audience With Miguel’.  Coming later this week!

Who? It’s not a “snub” if you didn’t deserve something in the first place.

He is a right to feel how he feels bc he is human and all but its a competition and not every one will win or nominated #GRAMMYs

Mariah carey only got like 4 or 5 in 20 years , It took Mary J 5 albums to finally get the respect she deserved , Nobody cared about his cd , keep working & maybe one day… This new generation of artist feels so entitled and so cocky for NO REASONS .

Miguel is a d***** and clearly thinks way too highly of himself. I went to see him in London a few weeks back and it was absolute FUCKRIES. The Grammy committee don’t rate him and he will deal. I do like his album though lol.

Considering who was nominated over him (and Jill Scott (which should be a crime)), I think he has a reason to be a little upset.

Agrees with D. Scott. I think the Academy does not show that much interest in the R&B Soul Categories. He should have been nominated along with Jill Scott and Beyonce. Those three had the best R&B Soul albums of the year……

No offense but WTF? I think he has potential but sweetie you need to have several seats. There are acts that have been on their grind for years who have not been nominated for a Grammy.
