The 18 months have been quite the roller-coaster for R&B singer Fantasia. However, joy abounds today, for the Grammy winner delivered a bouncing baby boy.

The songstress confirmed to PEOPLE that she and partner Antwaun Cook welcomed their first child this morning at a North Carolina hospital.
She said:
“I feel so blessed that my son Dallas Xavier was born healthy, and is a wonderful new addition to our family. I thank all my fans for their well wishes and continued support.”
The 27 year old American Idol alum has a daughter from a previous relationship.
Congrats to ‘Tasia – regardless of the circumstances. Every child is a blessing. Can the church say Amen!

To me- the issue is not whether a woman marries the man she has kids with, as long as both parents are raising the child with the love and support it needs then that’s fine by me.
BUT WHEN a woman lets a man breed her left right and center just to walk in and out of her life when he chooses AND go back to his wife then THAT is a problem.
This happens in all races but as a black person I find it especially sad when you see black women allowing their obsession for ‘keeping a man’ turn them into complete mindless fools.
Fantasia is not a homewrecker- the home was already wrecked if the man was disloyal enough to cheat on his wife- but she is a cheap ghetto s*** who proves that the idea that Pop singers are in some way less moral than soul singers is just a myth.
Like Alicia Keys, her image is fake and based on the idea that authentic black women must sing mid tempo heartfelt love songs and take a minimal approach to their appearance.

I’ve seen people act much worse than Fantasia does (I.E. Much of the stuff found on World Star Hip Hop,Khia),can we really blame Fantasia for “being ghetto and loud” when people stereotype blacks as a whole like this??
