If last night’s news of Katy Perry‘s untimely separation from Russell Brand put a downer on what has otherwise been a fun filled festive season, today saw the arrival of news that will be sure to put smiles on the faces of any in tune with the world of celebrity relationships.
For, this morning saw Rochelle Wiseman of Pop troupe ‘The Saturday‘s reveal that she is to wed long time boyfriend Marvin Humes, of Brit Pop quartet JLS.
Her announcement below…
Taking to her Twitter account, she revealed:
Its official Marvin proposed 2me 2day,wanted 2 tell u b4 some1 else did!SO excited 2 b Mrs Humes.x
The confirmation of their engagement arrives months after The Saturday’s sat down with That Grape Juice to discuss their latest album, US chart success and quite interestingly- marriage and relationships.

aww they do make a lovely couple.
This is the sort of news we need to hear in black blogs.
If this was a mainstream blog comments would be “who cares?” we all know what that really means.
There is no news for UK Black artists which is why I think this blog needs to focus on some positive topics.
