Following a somewhat strange delay, the video for Little Mix‘s debut single ‘Cannonball’ surfaced today – two weeks after the group won the latest series of the X Factor UK, and a week after hitting number with the Damien Rice cover.
Peep the clip after the jump…
While we anticipated ‘basic’ (as is the case with all X Factor winner 1st videos), this served up a worryingly high dose. How, after all the hype, is the final product merely their winning performance, interspersed with clips from the audition phase? Recession Special, much?
Still, the ladies conceptually present quite the compelling package for the Pop-Urban landscape over here. A fact which’ll no doubt unravel itself once they launch “properly” post the show’s hype.
That said…

It was delayed because they were NOT mean to win, they won on hype alone
( THE GBP BEING MANIPULATED TO VOTE FOR A GIRLBAND FOR 1ST GROUP WIN IN X FACTOR HISTORY) I’m from the UK and I have to say, the british public got it sooooo wrong this year, that it’s embarrassing
