R&B staples Brandy and Monica delighted many with news of their new duet earlier this month. And while little was initially offered about the single (beyond it being produced by Rico Love), the ladies label RCA Records have today lifted the lid on explicit details.

With a confirmed title of ‘It All Belongs To Me’, the “poignant” track is due to for release on February 8th and will serve as the next single from Monica’s ‘New Life’ LP (due March 6th). The cut is also confirmed to feature on Brandy’s forthcoming RCA debut.
A whopping 14 years have passed since since the duo’s global blockbuster ‘The Boy Is Mine’ cemented their names in the history books. Indeed, the single occupied the #1 spot on the Hot 100 Chart for 13 weeks, won the Grammy for R&B Performance by A Duo or Group, and was declared the best-selling song of 1998.
Will this new cut enjoy similar success? The answer awaits in a mere matter of weeks. Exciting times!

I love Brandy, so I’m going to support it! I’m still not thrilled about this duet, but I’m glad this will be Monica’s first single. I need Brandy to bring that heat when she release her first single for her new album. Great seeing the ladies getting geared up for a great 2012 though. Good Luck to them both!

All I can say is that this better be good, especially since it’s been a while since either one had a real pop hit. TBIM is going to cast a huge shadow over it, and if they don’t play every card right it could end up going over like Nelly & Kelly’s “Gone.” Don’t assume that the old is going to carry the new.

I’m so excited about this!
Both singers were great vocalists 14 Years ago and their voices have continued to grow and reach new levels.
I really hope this blows up on the fans hearts as well as the charts the singers deserve success and they are veterans !
Vocally they can compete with today’s current R&B singers e.g jazmine Sullivan, ledisi, keyshia cole and Melanie Fiona

Can’t wait for this to drop. If you people don’t know, this will be Monica’s 3rd single from New Life, and Brandy 1st single for this new untitled album that’s coming out in May. Pre-Ordered Monica’s, just waiting on Brandy and pre-order that album. True fans will support the song regardless. Remember Brandy “Slient Night” song may not be an official track because it got leaked without her knowing, she found out on Twitter if you guys actually followed her you will know that. So this song is the 1st single for this new album. Anyways can’t wait to hear this next month!!!

This IS Brandy’s first single. It’s as much a track lifted from her album as it is Monica’s, and in the meantime there hasn’t been word of any other song being released from Brandy’s forthcoming album in the near future. This isn’t Monica with Brandy as a special guest. It’s on both of their albums, so it’s a joint single from each. Logic people, logic.

I don’t know if it makes a difference but the version that appears on Brandy’s album will be different to the version that is going to be released from Monica’s. I imagine this means Monica’s will sound more classically RnB while Brandy’s version will be re-worked to fit the modern urban sound she’s going for.
