Confirmed: Adele To Perform At Grammy Awards 2012

Published: Tuesday 31st Jan 2012 by Sam

After much speculation, it has been confirmed that chart force Adele will indeed be taking to the stage at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards.

Full details below…

Illness and a busy schedule had cast doubt over whether the Londoner, who is up for 6 awards, would be performing at the industry’s biggest night. However, any such speculation was laid to rest moments ago when the singer’s label issued a press release announcing her addition to the performer roster. Other performers include Nicki Minaj, Coldplay, Bruno Mars, and stage walker, Rihanna.

It marks the first time the Brit-School phenom will have performed in 5 months, after beng  forced to cancel a sold-out U.S. tour to undergo surgery on her vocal cords.

The 54th Annual Grammy Awards ais live on February 12th.

ugh finally! its only ideal, she deserves to open the show really. Gaga already had that honour in 2010 cmon. 4 days later she’ll be performing at the Brits!!!!. now i hope thats her winding up this era, it’s time to let go of the charts sweetheart

now as for the performance, if they’re not gonna let her open the show the least they could do is allot a meaty timeslot to her. hope she deliverss a vibrant rendition of rolling in the deep. it’s be interesting to see her switch things up a bit. Besides RITD is not as vocally demanding as SLY.

    “stage walker, Rihanna”….too funny

  3. JP January 31, 2012

I agree. She deserves to open.

  4. Girrrl January 31, 2012

    Glad Adele will be there!

Although I’m tired of hearing RITD in general it would be nice to hear a live rendition of the song. If not that then I would prefer “One and Only” or “He Won’t Go.” She already did SLY on the MTV awards so I doubt that will be the choice which is fine by me since it’s not my preference. “Set Fire To The Rain” would just be an okay choice in my opinion. Anyway, looking forward to the performance whatever song she picks.

  10. THE GREAT LACEFRONCE RETURNS. January 31, 2012

Who wants to see her FAT ASS singing her same ol depressing songs standing in one spot or sitting down 😕

    Rihanna should open!! 🙂

if it doesnt have to be a single, my no1 choice will def be HE WONT GO, its my fav song on the album cant get enough it

and pls chile, i hope Bey doesnt show up, she hasnt stepped out since Blue’s birth, the grammys dont deserve her presence this year. This grammys will be all about Adele! i really hope they rethink having Gaga open n close, this kinda overkill hurt BTW more than it helped. what is she gonna perform anyways? MTN was promoted like an early single already. in fact she shoulda sat this one out, take a proper break, release her new material later in the year then tour

  12. Bey Fan January 31, 2012

Yeah He Wont Go is my favorite song…..but I’ll take Set Fire to the rain.

Just glad she’s gonna be there…. it’s gonna be her night.

She might do a Jamesetta song. She loved Etta.

    @THEGREATLACEFRONCERETURNS

i would much rather see adele than watch rihanna with her ass out, shouting, whining and whispering. atleast adele can sing and has stage presence.

    “….and stage walker, Rihanna”

This made me chuckle…. but I hope she performs TTT, I dont really like the song, but it wud fiyah if her and Jay Z were on the stage. But I have a feeling she’s doing that Pricess of China song with Cold and Play and em…….

Im also tired of this Bruno Mars song, but I like his voice.

And I hope Nicki doesn’t do stupid h**. Although Im sure she’s gonna do Turn me On….

So long as she sings anything other than Someone Like You, I am so sick of hearing that song, even though I liked it at first, its grown old very rapidly. I’m curious as to whether her voice will sound the same, its not uncommon with vocal surgery for the voice to change ;o)

  25. KD February 1, 2012

She really does nothing for me LIVE…sorry.
