Ke$ha Embraces Sensitivity For New Album

Published: Wednesday 4th Jan 2012 by David

She may be renowned for being behind a number of Pop’s upbeat and lighthearted releases, but it would seem serial chart topper Ke$ha may be moving onto pastures new, that is- if recent comments she has made about her upcoming album are anything to go by.

Find out what she has to say about the long awaited release and its premise below…

Speaking to Billboard this week, she confessed:

You might hear a little bit more vulnerability on the next record ’cause I have realized just from this Dylan cover coming out that it can be such a strength and a nice balance to humanize the other side of my personality.

Adding:

I have learned over the past three years of doing this that being vulnerable doesn’t mean you’re weak. I very much want to be seen as a strong woman, but I realize that vulnerability can also be a strength. So on my next record, you are going to hear probably a little more of that. I’m not going to make an acoustic, sad entire record.

Kudos to Ke$ha for taking her time to create a full body of work, as opposed to following the trend of many of her contemporaries and rushing out a collection of  uninspired singles.

If she succeeds in creates an album which guarantees her chart success and critical acclaim, the world just may be forced  to accept that despite her vocal shortcomings, she is one of Pop’s more gifted contributors with the potential to be just as celebrated as Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and the like.

I already hold her in higher regard than Katy perry but I agree. I easily see her being able to alternate between club numbers and singer songwriter fare with relative ease. Very talented chick and not a bad singer. Check out that Dylan cover. It’s fantastic. And no autotune.

I don’t know about you all, but I’m really excited about her new material. This album will no doubt decide whether Ke$ha will be around for the next few years. They said Katy would be a one hit wonder, but she slayed all your favs both eras.

However, with heavy hitters like A. Keys, Nicki, Madonna, and Pink….she def has a run for her money. But these are all artists that have been away for a while,so it’s hard to judge how the masses will receive them, leaving Ke$ha the possibility to dominate the charts.

I agree with Sam, Im glad shes taking her time with the album and not rush releasing fast food pop. That cover she posted on Twitter actually made me cry, it was beautiful. People under estimate Ke$ha, but she is very talented, I see her going far. Thats why I stan for her and always will. I just wish she would drop an album name or the name of the 1st single already

Taking time to create a quality album is exactly what Ke$ha needs to do. And making it with heart felt ballads with 70s rock beats instead of generic dance pop is a genius idea. I predict this album will slay and maybe get a few Grammy noms. Rihanna should take notes.

i’m sure she’ll deliver “You and I” (part 3) and “Edge of Glory” (Part 4) like she always does

    @ JER:
Honestly I have no idea what you’re talkin about. Except for the same concept of releasing an LP and a related EP after that (The Fame+Fame Monster and Animal+Cannibal), nothing Ke$ha has done so far has ever made me think she was copying Gaga. And just in case that ‘s what you’re thinking now: Don’t say how she copied Gaga with We R Who We R and the idea behind it. Ke$ha has always been supportive of LGBT and was actually the first pop artist to release a song directed at this topic after the gay suicides that had happened.

Anyway, I can’t wait for news on this album. It’s gonna be very interesting to hear what the music’s gonna sound like.

i like kesha, but someone trying to say rihanna needs to take a note from her? kesha is doing some vulnerability with her new album good but rihanna needs to take note from that, aparently the person who wrote that only listens to riris singles why not try going to rated r and play any number of tracks there you see emotion and she even has vulnerability with her last single we found love “its the way im feeling i just cant deny but ive got to let it go” ie chris brown.
