Watch: D’Angelo Makes Stage Return In Paris

Published: Tuesday 31st Jan 2012 by Sam

The world.

That’s exactly what soulful crooner D’Angelo had at his feet.

An industry rarity in that he commanded both critical and commercial acclaim (including two Platinum albums to his name), things took a turn for the worst when the star descended into a life of drink, drugs, and run-ins with the law.

Now, with his troubles behind him, the 37 year old is plotting his long-awaited comeback. Preceding his 3rd studio album (working title ‘James River’), is a European trek billed ‘The D Tour’.

Does he still have ‘it’? Peep his performance of the classic ‘Untitled’ and be the judge…

 Bring on that new album!

Your thoughts?

I remember seeing the video to this when I was around 8 and always wanting the camera to go that little bit lower…

KING D!!!! No male R&B or Soul artist has YET to out do his Brown Sugar or Voodoo album…

As long as he has that voice (which he does) he can make that powerful comeback. He clearly has a strong fan base since he sold out multiple shows in Paris and over seas. He looks like how he looks during his Brown Sugar era 🙂

This man could always sing! It’s a damn shame when true talent turns into a tainted tool! However, I am SO HAPPY HE IS TRYING TO MAKE IT BACK UP! This man has that Al Green, Marvin Gaye type soul in his voice. I hope he stays clean and clear of the law! I’d love to hear new material from him. It’s time to bring R&B back!!
